Fashion – Kut From a Diff Cloth

Toronto Glossy and San Francisco Ness

My girl Ness invited me to a fashion show last night! Vanessa is the official MUA for HellzBellz and my homegirl from FIDM. We got dolled up to check out the open bar and the Holiday Collection for 80’s Purple. A fun crowd and great turnout, maybe 400 people and a few randos.

I’m wearing Members Only liquid leggings (Nordstrom) and my Jessica Simpson big girl pumps (PF Sample Sale), faux fur vest (Le Chateau outlet on Orfus!) and driving leather x suede gloves (the Bay). I’m wearing big bad lashes and OCC liptar in Anime with MAC black gloss over top of it. The venue VIBANA was beautiful (think Toronto’s Liberty Grand x Berkley Church) and the fashion was poppin’.

    8:00pm
    8:20pm

And in typical LA fashion, it started at 8 and we home and in bed by 12. ^_^ I can get use to this…

First, my fav from the runway show

Like I always say, the crowd is at times more fashionable than the collection. Sad but true – but street fashion is where the ‘je ne sais pas’ lives!  Here are my top picks.

    Eat – Lacey Oatmeal Cookies

This is what you can make me and I will love you for all eternity!

    Ingredients
1 cup quick cooking oats 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Cover baking sheets with foil, then coat the foil with a non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, salt, and baking powder. In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix in the flour and oat mixture until just combined. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets, 2 1/2 inches apart.
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges turn golden. Cool, then peel cookies off with your fingers. Be sure to re-spray baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray between batches.
