HeyDoYou x Kidets
I had the pleasure of attending the Kidets Launch at the Sunny Choi Gallery on Queen Street West this past week. There was a really good vibe in the room; Wine, beautiful art, and live music provided by very talented pianist Sunny Choi (different Sunny) and Opus Road’s Jeff (he plays the guitar ladies ahem lol). I digress.
So who are Kidets? If we were gonna get technical I would say YOU are a kidet; anyone young, even older who has a dream(s), and wants to learn the necessary skills to make their dream(s) come true, through hands on training and lots of great opportunities.
It’s also for anyone looking to teach; it’s important for people to know all aspects of whatever career they choose. It takes more than stepping in a booth to be a successful rapper… If you’ve made your dreams come true through whatever skill or talent and/or are still making your dreams come true, and feel you wanna share what you’ve learned with people looking to do the same thing and better; then Kidets is definitely for you.
In a nutshell; Kidets is the baby of some GOOD people hoping to do GOOD things for Toronto, especially Toronto’s youth. Anyone can say that they want to help the youth, and run an organization that’s “dedicated to empowering the youth.” and anyone can form a program, and say they’re “empowering and teaching the youth.” But these guys are on a whole new level… because things are better experienced, I won’t bore you with a long story about Kidets. Instead, I’ll entertain you with pictures, and continue to bring you more of what Kidets has to offer!
