    Best Drugstore Sunblock!

Sun’s out guns out baby! It’s not long til the sun comes back to our lives (especially in sunny LA) so that means we need to add more protection to our daily skin care regimen. It’s always good to use sunscreen throughout the year even when it’s cloudy out but as the heat and sunny weather starts rolling in we need to increase our SPF and make sure it lasts. It really doesn’t help to apply sunscreen to have it vanish within an hour.

My absolute favorite sunscreen would have to be Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock. This sunscreen comes in a really easy to use and mess free packaging. The product is creamy and has a good consistency; not too thick but not runny so you really don’t need very much. I love that the product doesn’t turn your face white and pasty. In the spring and summer I’ll wear just the Dry-Touch Sunblock by itself or wear it as my primer/base. This is the one sunscreen that doesn’t make my skin greasy when I put it on nor does it make my makeup slide throughout the day. It has a satin to dry/matte finish which is fabulous. In the heat, I don’t need help getting the “dewy” look. I can put it on and go through my day without worrying or having to reapply. Best of all, this sunblock doesn’t have the gross sunscreen smell. I hate the smell of sunscreen and I’d hate it even more if I had to put it on my face to have it linger all day long.

This is a great product that’s under $20 at any drugstore. I’m not really sure why they have so many different SPF levels but they start from SPF 30 to 100+ so any of them would provide good protection. Sunscreen is something we should use everyday whether you’re young, old, men, women, children, etc. This one’s perfect for all!

    Jeffrey Campbell Clinics

First stop in Edmonton is… West Edmonton Mall! Went to my favourite Canadian shoe store Browns and copped me some Jeffrey Campbell Clinics. The best thing about going to a city like Edmonton, is that these can sit on the sale rack and no one will have the fashion sense to grab em. More for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Can’t wait to rock these…

    MIGHTY CONE!!!!! Yezzziirrrr :) #SoGood

So over the summertime i created a challenge for myself that i would eat at most of the spots in Austin that are hot spots to eat at. So i know what your thinking “Out of all the restaurants in Austin how did you choose a place that served meals that came in this flimsy coned shape cup?” It is quite simple ‘literally’. For starters i walk up and noticed this trailer that is in a parking lot and thought to myself “This truck cant be bout nothin” then when i walk up and see how customers are just enjoying the hell out of these cone creations, OBVIOUSLY my curiosity starts to build.

As i walk up im noticing all the menu choices and have no idea
what to choose, so me bein me ima roll wit anything chicken ANY day the week homie :). So of course i chose the Chicken Avocado cone with a creamy spicy sauce, when i tell you this cone had everything i ever wanted in a meal! It hit EVERY TASTE BUD and executed very well.

If you are EVER in Austin, Mighty Cone is a a place you must stop at This place is a real treat in the Spring and Summer season, see ya there!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Colorful benefits!

I was always afraid of green peppers as a little girl. I guess this could be attributed to the fact that every time I ate green pepper, a horrible rash would break out on my arms; so I grew up avoiding green peppers as well as all other peppers. A few years ago I had a tri-pepper omelette that totally rocked my world (in a good way), and the best part? There was no allergic reaction. Needless to say I’ve been hooked ever since. I enjoy sitting down and snacking on a bowl full of green pepper strips… dunking them into a creamy ranch sauce…mmm yummy.

Even though I already knew that peppers were a healthy snack, I didn’t know just how amazing they really are. Did you know that ALL peppers are rich in vitamins A, C and K? Why should you care? Well, vitamins A and C are antioxidants and they help prevent cell damage, cancer, as well as diseases caused by aging. They also support the immune system, and help in reducing inflammation caused by arthritis and even ashtma. Vitamin K strengthens bones, and helps protect cells from oxidative damage (changes seen in living organisms in response to excessive levels of cytotoxic oxidants and free radicals in the environment).ย Red peppers are an excellent source of lycopene which aids in preventing prostate, cervix, pancreas and bladder cancers. The benefits don’t stop there; the Beta-cryptoxanthin found in red peppers, helps prevent lung cancer from both smoking and secondhand smoke. Peppers also provide a decent amount of fiber, and the heat in both hot and sweet peppers contains substances that have been shown to increase the body’s heat production and oxygen consumption for about 20 minutes. That’s right, simply eating peppers helps your body burn extra calories.
    Get your eat on!
