Give it to them and tell them it’s just a cute scrapbook that you put together. Let them turn the pages slowly, and talk to them, enjoy the memories, enjoy the laughter. Then, when they finally come to the last page, the one where you wrote “Will you marry me?” pull out the ring and tell them how much you love them. This kind of scrapbook is pretty amazing because you can keep it forever and pass it on to your kids, and it’s a great way for them to see how much effort you’ve put into it, how much it matters to you.

Plan a romantic camping trip just for the two of you, and make sure to check the forecast so that the weather doesn’t ruin your plans. It’s the perfect time for those long, meaningful conversations, for the declaration of love, for the vow to always want them near. There are many shapes, and you want to choose the one that will suit your partner perfectly. Of course, you don’t necessarily need to get a diamond ring but, regardless of what you pick, make sure to keep it safe.
