Washington-based coffee company to donate 100% of proceeds from new coffee called ‘TIP JAR’ to employees amid Covid-19 downturn

Olympia Coffee Roasting Co. announced a new coffee called Tip Jar, which has been available to order online from Wednesday, March 25, 2020. All proceeds from the sale of each 12oz bag of this affectionately-labeled single-origin coffee from Peru will be pooled and disbursed to staff as a way to assist with financial burdens experienced as a result of the Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak. In a statement sent to staff, Oliver Stormshak, president of the company based 45-minutes south of Seattle, WA, said, “… we’ve been trying to think of additional ways we can be here for you. Coffee is our superpower and we want to use that to your benefit.”

Tip Jar will be available for purchase online only at OlympiaCoffee.com. As with all of Olympia Coffee’s offerings, each bag will be roasted to order to ensure the highest quality and freshness. This Peruvian coffee comes from a small farm called El Guayacan and features delicious flavors of chocolate and caramel, and makes for the perfect stay-at-home coffee! Olympia Coffee’s stated mission is to “…improve the quality of life for coffee farmers, for our staff and for our customers.” This initiative is an effort to live up to that mission amidst the pressures of a global pandemic.

Even after announcing closures of all cafes in response to the outbreak, the small coffee company operating in the Pacific Northwest has been encouraged by the outpouring of support from their community. Now, Tip Jar is a way the community can benefit the staff directly.

About Tip Jar: Tip Jar is a Fair For All coffee from a farm in Peru called El Guayacan. This coffee is in response to the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and directly benefits the staff of Olympia Coffee, who will receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of every 12oz bag.
