SoulKu – “heartcrafted” by work-from-home moms in Asheville

Based in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC and birthed in 2011 after the emotional and financial challenges of the recent economic recession, the idea of SoulKu came to owners Elisa and Allison in a vision. Pronounced “soul-coo.” The word “Ku” in Japanese translates to “a place of infinite possibility.” Elisa and Allison like to think of  their company as just that, “A place where, guided by our soul’s calling, anything is possible.”

Elisa and Allison saw themselves and people all around the world linked by a network of celebratory, sparkling light that inspired, empowered, and connected them. Elisa and Allison both felt their souls calling them to action, to be the change they wished to see. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Elisa and Allison used their world’s challenges as pure inspiration and motivation for empowering themselves and people everywhere. Elisa and Allison created their first collection, Soul Full of Light—simple, meaningful necklaces inspired by the healing properties of gemstones and the spiritual laws of attraction, belief, and Intention. They prayed, sang, and infused each necklace with LOVE and LIGHT. And that’s still how we do it today with the team of SoulKu makers who “heartcraft” each piece.

This unique business model allows the mama makers to be more present with their children, have a creative outlet, and eliminate the huge financial burden of childcare. Each handmade piece is mounted on a beautiful card with an inspirational message of love and encouragement that perfectly aligns with the healing energetics of the gemstone. As a finishing touch, the mama maker personally signs the card.
