I just got to know that my best friend from middle school and high school are going to be married! I am so happy for her to find the true love in her life. Laura and Mary take inspiration from their travels and experiences they have had together and also from the many years that they lived thousands of miles apart. When Laura and Mary started Emerson & Oliver in 2012, Mary was living in NY, and Laura was living in Barbados. They were looking for jewelry that worked, not only in the city, but on the beach as well. Laura and Mary reflected back on the jelly bracelets and piano wire bracelets of the youth and redesigned them, making them their own. The DIA Bracelets were born.

The word DIA: Greek for through, has special meaning to us, because Laura and Mary believe, you do not “get over” things in your life, you “go through” them. Laura and Mary have been friends for 3/4 of their lives and life has thrown a lot at them from the very beginning of their friendship. They have experienced many tragedies and many joys. And they have always gotten through them. Together.
