San Diego’s Waterfront Manchester Grand Hyatt Announces Reopening

The award-winning Southern California hotel, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has welcomed guests back beginning August 2nd, following its temporary service pause due to COVID-19. The recently renovated property is looking forward to safely caring for guests while they enjoy a sense of escape and well-being, experiencing the rooftop pool with sweeping views of the San Diego Bay and meals to-go for leisurely enjoyment.

The waterfront hotel, located in downtown San Diego, provides guests with an ideal, accessible getaway or summer staycation. A few reasons to visit Manchester Grand Hyatt:

    • Standard of Cleanliness From a Brand You Can Trust: With safety and wellbeing of guests and staff top of mind, Hyatt has announced a Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment that includes Global Biorisk Advisory Council accreditation, hotel-level sanitization specialists, and a working group of trusted medical and industry advisors. This includes staff certification and training for hygiene and cleanliness, hospital-grade disinfectants on all surfaces, prominently placed hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel, protective masks and social distancing guidance in public areas.

    • The World Might Have Changed, But Its Views Haven’t: As the tallest waterfront hotel on the West Coast, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego’s views can’t be beat. Each room (yes, all 1,628) feature a view of either the Pacific Ocean or San Diego cityscape. Soak up views of the San Diego Bay and skyline while soaking in rooftop pools! The Adult Pool (ages 21+) is on the third floor and the Family Pool on the fourth. Both offer private cabanas, and the Family Pool features a large pool deck and a turfed area for lawn games.

    • Waterfront Activities Just Steps Away: The hotel offers a spectacular waterfront resort-like setting, ideally situated on San Diego Bay next to the city’s popular Seaport Village. With the finest beaches nearby and waterfront pathways, a stay at Manchester Grand Hyatt provides walkability to local favorites such as the USS Midway Museum and the all new Portside Pier. With endless outdoor activities just steps away, each guest visit includes bike and paddleboard rentals and one-hour harbour tour in the destination fee.

    • Recently Renovated, Expansive Space to Socially Distance: With two towers and 1,628 guest rooms, the expansive property features ample space for socially distancing thanks to an extensive property-wide renovation, completed in December. The final enhancement included the lobby, where upon entrance, guests are greeted by a streamlined arrival experience and lobby with soaring ceilings, contemporary architecture, and a design that echoes the modern aesthetic that has been introduced throughout the rest of the hotel.
