Chocolate and vanilla lovers might be a little shocked when they see that the strawberry milkshake was the most popular milkshake across the country. The creamy blend of strawberries and ice cream was the number one milkshake in 10 U.S. states. States like California, Illinois, and Louisiana are a few of the places that have strawberry milkshake fanatics.
The residents of Michigan, Maine, and Indiana don’t let the cold winters stop them from drinking their favorite milkshake flavor, chocolate. They aren’t alone in their love affair with chocolate milkshakes; it turns out that a total of eight states chose chocolate as their top milkshake. We can’t forget states like New York and Texas whose favorite milkshake is a pineapple milkshake. Whatever floats their milkshake boat!
The Oreo milkshake was the third most popular milkshake in the country, with six states naming it as their superior flavor. Another shake that broke the top five was the Shamrock Shake. The infamous green milkshake is a minty flavor that typically comes out once a year to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Maybe it’s the short timeframe and the feeling of needing to get it while you can that makes this shake so popular. Whatever it is, there is no question that people love the Shamrock Shakes.
Other milkshake flavors that made the list by being the most popular in just one state each were Nutella, peach, peanut butter, and peppermint.
