Motley Melties is the latest silkscreen edition by Buff Monster, a New York-based artist known for his vibrant murals, paintings and collectibles featuring melting ice cream figures that evoke the artist’s inspirations—ranging from graffiti, Japanese Pop culture and heavy metal music. Stay Melty is a monograph recently published by Gingko Press that documents Buff Monster‘s output over the last three years, with over six-hundred images which include color plates of paintings, drawings, murals and multiples alongside behind-the-scenes photos culled from the artist’s personal archives. Each copy dons a meticulously hand-painted and signed cover, presented in a slipcase embossed with a metallic silver stamp.
