    G’day from NYC!

Hi e-peeps! I’ve been a big fan of heydoyou.com for some time now and I’m teaming up with the gals here to write a few blog posts—exciting stuff! Before I begin, it’s probably a good idea to introduce myself, so here goes…

10 Things About Me: I’m Australian. I live in NYC. I can’t get enough chai tea. I still bite my nails. I studied Philosophy in college. I haven’t driven a car in over 7 years. I never make the bed. I daydream far too often. I’m too lazy to cook. I have a love-hate relationship with all things fashion.

10 Things I LOVE: Accents (the stronger the better). The rain. SHOES. Lucille Ball. Traveling. Reddit. Hugs. Glitzy glam dresses. Fashion photography. Debating (anything at all!).

10 Things I can’t live without: Awkward conversation. W magazine. Dessert (make it a slice of cheesecake or sticky toffee pudding). Pen and paper. Pretty earrings. Weekends. Black clothing. Woody Allen marathons. Puppy videos. Mascara.

    Winter-Skin Blues No More @lovephilosophy

Every year around this time my skin starts to get dry. I decided this year that I would try something different than just my usual moisturizer that I use everyday. I was suggested to use a serum, which is now officially part of my daily facial routine. 🙂

I bought Philosophy: When Hope Is Not Enough, which is a facial firming serum. For $38 you get 1 oz, which is a bit pricey, but you also don’t have to use a lot!

This product tightens up your skin, hydrates it, and minimizes the look of wrinkles and fine lines.

I cleanse my face, put a little bit of this on, some moisturizer, and I’m all set. And when I put on makeup, it goes on so smooth. This product absorbs quickly and I definitely feel it replenishing my skin.

The one con I have though is that I don’t like the smell! It’s just when you put it on, otherwise the scent goes away. Definitely worth it nonetheless!

Check out their Facebook and Twitter! There are many other products that this skin care brand has!

    Event LOVE: Coty x Philosophy

I had so much fun at the Coty x philosophy event yesterday. Of course this is no surprise, as I absolutely adore the Coty Inc. ladies, and always have an excellent time with them.

Before the event, my knowledge about philosophy was very limited. I knew they specialized in bath and body products, but I had no idea that they are MAJOR players in the skincare game! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised, and totally impressed by their commitment to giving customers quality products that offer proven results; as well as inspire, and make them feel good at the time.  I love the stories behind this amazing brand, and it’s safe to say that I am officially a “philosophy girl.”

Thank you so much to the Coty Inc team for inviting us, and to Robin White (Director of International & Global Press- philosophy) for the lovely stories, and for giving us the 4-1-1 on philosophy… oh and for the awesome swag!

    peace and love
