Founder Sipho Gumbo suffered years of suffering from skincare products formulated with harsh ingredients  This led her on a journey of researching natural skincare. Sipho recalled the beauty rituals of her grandmother who used wild-harvested African herbs, superfoods, and botanical oils to look after her skin. Determined to find products that worked for her sensitive skin and armed with the beauty wisdom of her grandmother, Sipho launched Yangu Beauty. Each product is thoughtfully formulated using advanced plant science and pays homage to the time-honored beauty wisdom of her African foremothers.

Yangu Beauty supports orphans, women and children through it’s Beauty with Compassion Program.  Yangu Beauty founder Gumbo created Munhu Inc. (www.munhuinc.org) a 15 year old non-profit organization that supports children orphaned by AIDS in rural Zimbabwe. A percentage of sales of Yangu Beauty Products support Munhu Inc. children.

Yangu Beauty also gives back through the sourcing of ingredients. They buy from co-ops that are mainly women owned and supports women who pick up the nuts where their oils are from.  This helps them pay tuition for their children.
