Winter-Skin Blues No More @lovephilosophy
Every year around this time my skin starts to get dry. I decided this year that I would try something different than just my usual moisturizer that I use everyday. I was suggested to use a serum, which is now officially part of my daily facial routine. 🙂
I bought Philosophy: When Hope Is Not Enough, which is a facial firming serum. For $38 you get 1 oz, which is a bit pricey, but you also don’t have to use a lot!
This product tightens up your skin, hydrates it, and minimizes the look of wrinkles and fine lines.
I cleanse my face, put a little bit of this on, some moisturizer, and I’m all set. And when I put on makeup, it goes on so smooth. This product absorbs quickly and I definitely feel it replenishing my skin.
The one con I have though is that I don’t like the smell! It’s just when you put it on, otherwise the scent goes away. Definitely worth it nonetheless!

Even though I have about 2 dozen winter scarves and pashminas, I generally wrap them two different ways: either the standard “modern one loop” or the, equally standard, “European loop.” BORING! But now, thanks to the video below, I’ll have enough styles to make a different look for almost an entire month!!

(T.O.) Dear Winter…
As pretty as the snow may be, I still miss laying on the grass under the sun…Winter brings two words to mind. Well three but the third is for another post… There is just too much ish going on during the cold months and I especially hate getting dressed in the winter. Gloves, scarves, hats, socks, cute boots or warm winter boots? Winter jacket, Winter jackets? (some need a variety), daily multiple hot chocolate runs, sniffing, sneezing, coughing, everyone else’s sniffing, coughing and sneezing, feeling like sh*t. Not to mention the heavy purse you have to drag around to carry extra ish like kleenex, anti-bacterial wipes as well as stuff your hat, gloves, and scarf once you get where you’re going. Oh my g-d, so tiring and so un-sexy.
Summer is a sexy and easy going kinda season. I’m a summer baby, I guess it only makes sense that I favor a warmer climate. Warm weather, cute shorts and a tee or cute summer dress, comfy keds or cute wedge sandals, cute shoulder purses, cold delicious fruit smoothies, lunch on a patio, summer loving, laying under the sun in the park talking about everything and nothing…easy. An endless supply of warm and wonderful possibilities!stay warm!peace, love and health
