I dunno about the title, it just seemed right, avoiding the rhyme. ‘Countdown’ is the track… but this video, to me, is a testimonial to the husslaaa that is Ms. Beyonce Knowles. Even while “with child”, she’s on the grind, making it work. Visually, this is one of the most engaging videos she (or anyone else in a mainstream environment) has done in a very long time! Drums, thong, Andy Warhol, pop art, head shots… I Love this video, take it in and applaud with me! xo

Shawty GET IT IN!
I was sooo disappointed to read so many negative tweets about Beyonce’s VMA performance last night, (especially from women! you should be ashamed of yourselves for not congratulating a VERY HARD WORKING woman.) That I simply had to say something…
They talked about how she has half naked, some people didn’t like her dancing, some people said they saw things they didn’t wanna see bla bla bla.. Were you watching??? I’m not a huge Beyonce fan, but I think she’s a great artist/performer. So all I wanna know is, for all the people that were talking smack, how many of you could’ve pulled off that performance? Or even raked in the numbers (both $$$ and album sales) that she has in her career??? *hear’s a pin drop*, didn’t think so; so instead of being “hateful” why not simply give credit where credit’s due?

Solange’s New ‘Do
Sooo… I have heard opinions differentiate across the map with regards to Solange Knowles new diva-stated, I (for one) LOVE it and think it’s been long over due! People constantly compare Solange to her (Obviously) gorgeous older sister, Beyonce, because of their similar appearances. Bodies, skin tones, fashion sense, singing style, hair styles… they were often similar in many ways… until now! Solange took it a-la-Amber and is working the $%^# out of a bald fade! I remember about 5 years ago, I returned to Canada from a trip home (to England) with one side of my head shaved bald & decorative detailing, all the dudes and some gals in London were going crazy on that tip… in Canada PEOPLE TRIPPPPPED! But, within the year I saw it more and more and the next thing I knew the look was taken by storm and I was searching for something new! While I’m not, by any means, claiming to have originated a specific look; I am saying that I LOOOOVE it when fellow women have the confidence to WORK IT, outside of the box! Rep it ladies, explore, expand and do ur thang! I for one, LOVE it!

4 Reasons to watch Obsessed
This week, me and the Twitter fam went to see Bey’s new movie Obsessed. A lot of people love to talk about how Beyonce can’t act or how she is not an actress. Let me just say this. The primary emotions in this movie she had to portray were ‘angry’ and ‘crazy’. Seeing that she is always poised, always a lady – I am sure Beyonce has a lot of these emotions stored in reserve, if you know what I mean. I liked the movie and the crowd cheers and laughed and cheered and laughed some more. All in all what a movie should be – entertaining!
