    Blonde Asian

Dolly Parton once said…”I’m not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know that I’m not dumb. I also know I’m not blonde.” That’s funny. I was walking on Richmond on Friday and a sleazy club promoter smirked at me and said, I like your hair blonde. I replied: I’m a natural blonde. When I was in NY, most people think I am Japanese because I wear my hair light. I am Chinese (Shanghai + HK). What do you think?

full Japanese, not Japanese (Yvonne), 1/2 Japanese (Kimora)

    Wikipedia says:
the date of the genetic mutation that resulted in blonde hair in Europe has been isolated to about 11,000 years ago during the last ice age. Before then, Europeans mostly had black hair and eyes, which is predominant in the rest of the world.

Yay, I want to be a mutant.

Celebs like Eve can change her look all the time, she is truly a style chameleon! Why is she so fabulous! Rapper/singer Eve is one of my favorite style icons. I don’t know what she has been doing lately, but from her last video Tambourine, I can say that I definitely love her blonde the best. But… What about me?For some people, changing their hair color is an earth shattering experience… for people like me (and Eve!) we love experimenting! I often change my hair color because 1, I participate in hair shows as a hair model. 2, I like to switch it up based on my mood. 3, I sometimes just want to match an outfit or a certain look I am going for! Am I crazy? I don’t know. My hair is not damaged at all, maybe a little dry. I think the blonde me appeals to my Gemini side: fun loving, adventurous and bold. My black hair is more of my Cancer side: emotional, introspective and passionate. I am a cusp, so can I have both? My brown hair many people love the best, it’s… well, kind of typical to me. My red? Like all fashionistas lament, doesn’t last because the vibrancy washes out. Sigh. I am currently blonde.

Here is my hair routine: I use Garnier everything.

    and I style with

    shortsexyhair Frenzy bulked-up texture

    and Schwarzkopf Osis+Thrill fibre gum

and Schwarzkopf Osis+ Magic Gloss serum before I blow dry

It’s great to be a blond. With low expectations, it’s very easy to surprise people!

    New Do, New Hue

So a few days ago.. i was thinking man my hair’s getting really long!

A year ago (2008 April) I did the ABA in Toronto with Paul Mitchell and went from
    this:

    to this!!

Cutting my hair short has be so liberating! You have to try it at least once in your lifetime. Then throughout the year, I experimented with Reds and Blondes

Anyway… I was at Aveda today from 9am-5pm.. We did some color correction and brought my hair to a level 8 blonde…

then to a desert storm ash

    I think I love it!

Being a hair model is NOT for:

    • someone who clings on to their hair to define their look/personality style
    • someone is is afraid of change and will cry if something goes not exactly as planned
    • anyone anxious or timid
    • someone who has no hair, hair/scalp disease, severely damaged hair

Being a hair model is for:

    • someone who is broke & fabulous (hello, recession?)
    • someone who wants to help hair styling students practice on real people
    • a confident person who is versatile and likes to switch up their look
    • someone who is tired of having the same hair style since 9th grade

As long as you have an open mind and want to have a top grade hair cut & color for (free!)… do what I do! If you have any questions, ask me!

If you want to be a hair model, participate in hair shows and take your look from a ‘Idaho’ to a ‘NYC’…

    Time for Tryst

If Mink Nightclub is the party girl who dances all night in lucite heels and a mini skirt, then you have to meet her sister from out of town! Tryst, inspired by Vegas superclub with the same name – is Toronto’s newest hot spot.

This is the Mink’s sister club and is that sexy older sister with the pencil skirt and heels. If you are tired of the college clubs and want a professional chic vibe, check out Tryst. It’s the King Street Blackberry crowd meets Richmond’s electric vibe. Tryst is the club for the nights you feel grown.

The bartenders are hot, the venue is classy -maybe its time to trade the bottle blonde for the mysterious brunette – maybe it’s time to enjoy a club where you won’t run into your booty call, for now.
