Event LOVE: @SkinnyGirl Cocktails with @Bethenny Frankel #SkinnyGirlTO
We were recently invited to the Skinnygirl Cocktails “Summer Styling Like a Lady” event, over at The Rosewater Room in downtown Toronto. Myself, Elana, and like a million ladies joined special celebrity guest/Skinnygirl Cocktails founder Bethenny Frankel for an evening of fun interactive sessions on fashion, decor, mixology, food, all while sipping on various cocktails from the Skinnygirl line (Sangria is my favourite by the way).
All the ladies were asked to bring a gently worn piece of business attire to help support Skinnygirl Cocktails as they teamed up with Dress For Success Toronto– a charitable organization which promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women in the GTA by providing them with professional attire for the everyday work place.
The event was hosted by Traci Melchor of CTV’s ETALK, and there was also an interactive Q&A session with Bethenny (which I missed cause I got carried away at they gym, then couldn’t decided on what dress to wear… girl problems.) After the Q&A session, we got a chance to explore the various interactive styling rooms, and of course, drank more Skinnygirl cocktails and snacked on for d’oeuvres for the rest of the night.

Event LOVE: @Swarovski Fall/Winter 2013/14 Collection Preview
We were recently invited to view Swarovski’s Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. The event was held over at the luxurious Shangri-la Hotel (so fitting) in downtown Toronto, and the room was beautifully decorated with gorgeous displays of the collection. I never know what to expect from Swarovski; but what I do know is that it never disappoints, I’m always blown away, I ooh, aah, and drool a little , and there are always so many beautiful pieces, and this was definitely the case that evening. You’ll see by my pictures that I tried so hard to hold all the excitement back (loves me some shiny thangs!), but ultimately failed, as I tried on pretty much everything and was acting a damn fool 🙂 I also got to hang out with some of my favourtie bloggers. I had fun!

Event LOVE: @HelloCanada #CanadasMostBeautiful Party
I was so excited to join Trop 50 at the Hello! Canada party in honour of the magazine’s Canada’s Most Beautiful issue. As this was a private event, I was unable to ask any of the celebrities that were present for any pictures, but that didn’t stop me from taking pictures of everybody else, and having a good time!
The event took place at the beautiful Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto, in a beautifully decorated room, and was full of beautiful and wonderful people, smiling, laughing, hugging, sipping cocktails, nibbling on delicious appetizers, and just having a beautiful night! (See what I did there? Yes.)

Event LOVE: Canadian Club @cc_whisky
We were recently summoned by the Canadian Club Chairman to share in his “Whisky Whisdoms” at the inaugural Canadian Club National Club meeting; which was held at Hart House in downtown Toronto, and hosted by the Canadian Club Chairman himself. Myself, Kaylaa, and many others ditched our wine glasses/beer cups for classic Canadian Club cocktails, enjoyed hearty hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Chairman’s own five food groups, and some of us even got to experience the perks of the CC Club membership; which included style tips and rewards from Korry’s Clothiers and Bode Spa.
Whisky tasting time! I think we went three or four rounds…
I’m not a Whisky drinker, but I DRANK some Whisky that night, and it was gooooood 🙂

It really was a fun night, we did a whisky tasting, then got some delicious whisky cocktails, then we snacked on some AMAZING hors d’oeuvres, THEN we took pictures with the chairman… we did this over and over again, and it was GREAT! I can’t wait for the next meeting!

Event LOVE Catch Up: #GCSmartLuxury
The people over at GC Timepieces recently invited us to attend the Smart Luxury Gala over at the Malaparte in the TIFF Bell Lightbox, to introduce us to their new Moments of Smart Luxury Campaign. The lovely Elana and I enjoyed an evening of special presentations by the event’s “Rising Stars,” sipped on yummy cocktails, snacked on tasty hors d’oeuvres (Portobello frites with truffle chive aioli, lobster slider, buttermilk fried chicken, braised short rib and new potato poutine, herb crusted tuna chopsticks… and that’s not even half of it, the menu was crazy good!), as well as viewed an impressive selection of GC Timepieces.

Event LOVE: @GUESS Fall 2013 Collection Press Preview
Last week, the lovely Kayla and I attended the private GUESS Fall 2013 Collection Presentation for Woman over at Soho House in downtown Toronto.
I liked quite a few pieces from the collection; we all know that I’m all about bright colours, and majority of the collection is dark colours. However, it’s dark done right, and if I’m gonna wear dark colours, I’m gonna wear them like this. I loved the leather shorts, the quilted leather sleeves on the dresses and the jackets, the cute purses… oooh and the jacket with the fringe detail! I loved that! Once we viewed the collection, it was time to enjoy some drinks and treats, and catch up with some old friends, as well as make some new ones 🙂
I’ve never owned anything fringe so I was surprised by how much I liked this jacket!
