She’s a BUSINESS woman 2
She started designing jewellery for family and friends in the 90s. Turned the hobby into a part -time career while finishing her degree, opened up a tanning/gift boutique; and the rest as they say is history. I mentioned before that I had an awesome time, spending the day with Shah, and now you have a chance to see just how lovely she is. Get to know her!

Venus Upon Havana
I mentioned last week, that I got to spend the day with Shah Emily, who is the founder and CEO of 3SHAHS; a custom jewellery line based here in Toronto. I had the opportunity to pick her brain, as well as get a preview of the new 3SHAHS Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which I loved by the way. Before the interview, I had to warn Shah that I an on an oohing/aahing-free diet while filming, as my videos pretty much o.d from them… it was difficult, and the occasional ooh and aah slipped out, but not biggie; the collection is wonderful, and has me craving warm summer weather!
Enjoy!
peace, love, and health

She’s a BUSINESS woman
I recently had the pleasure of spending the day with Toronto-based jewellery designers, Shah Emily Noaman. I had no idea what I was in for when we set this up, but damn! This woman is an inspiration and half, I left feeling like there’s nothing I can’t do… unfortunately, now I want to do everything lol.
While I was there, I was treated to a preview of the 3SHAHS Spring/Summer 11 collection, “Venus Upon Havana” which features pieces that were inspired by a recent trip to Cuba. The collection will be available at the end of this month at her store- Bask Tanning and Boutique at 1365 Yonge Street, as well as other retailers in the GTA.
Wanna know why I enjoyed spending the day with her? Because she’s totally awesome. Great personality, so much passion, AND because she let me play with all the jewellery till my heart’s content! You can see that she has a wicked eye for detail as every piece features something cute and unique, not to mention the endless splashes of bright colours! Win and Win.
The spring collection features bold patterns, a vibrant selection of rings, bracelets, necklaces, cocktail rings, earrings, in lovely shades of terracotta, aqua and mocha, sage. Each piece features a hand-selected semi-precious stones, fresh water pearls, and mixed metals. For those of us who love putting flowers in our hair, this collection offers a wonderful selection of seductive floral accents.
Here’s a sneak peek at the collection.
I’m totally ready the Gems in The City fundraiser; food, drinks, live music, a fashion show and silent auction, to celebrate the “Venus Upon Havana” collection. I’m there. All this goodness and more, will be happening at Nyood Restaurant on Wednesday April 27th. Proceeds from the event will be going towards the WoodGreen Housing Help Centre.
Thanks to Shah Emily for allowing me to get lost in her lovely world, I had so much fun.
peace, love and health

Yoga in Motion
Last weekend I attended the Mount Sinai Hospital Breast Cancer Fundraiser called Yoga in Motion. It was a very inspirational and knowledgable event. I left feeling content and inspired to take on the world. There were some women that I had talked to, who basically did it all: work, raising kids alone- since they were single moms, and battling breast cancer. I don’t know how they did it, but they did and that was truly amazing.
The event was fun, and really busy. Here are some shots!
The ladies and men, starting off their yoga.
The lovely ladies from Cooking Greens. Such delicious food! I want more!! *swoons* – Bella you foodie, you would love it!
I met Rebecca from Arbonne. And she was lovely of course. PLUS she told me about these little bad boys. Basically they are tiny little candy like protein chews. Mmmm.

Marc from Sweets from the Earth, told me about their cupcakes and how their frosting are made from lavender flower petals. I almost died. PLUS he also gave me a free sample of chocolate fudge cake, and I LOVED IT! And it’s all natural and good for you- bonus!

I met Beth Godfrey the jewellary designer. And ladies I was in love with her stuff. I wanted it all. And I still do. These particular bracelets are to support Yoga in Motion/ Mount Sinai Hospital. And they are only $10. Check out Beth Godfrey Jewellery.
I met the girls from Eco Jot. Eco Jot is an eco friendly note book company. If you buy one notebook, they send another notebook to a child in need. So go to the website and purchase one!
That’s it for now. It’ was a great event and I thank Whitney and Oriel for inviting me out. Can’t wait for next year!! Check out Yoga in Motion for other sponsors/vendors/people and what ways you can help.
