    Skeleton Key

Since Obama’s been elected as the President of United States, a new hope really has been sparked amongst all those who are paying attention. In this world where truly anything is possible; how can you not be excited about the path that lies ahead? There are so many things that remind us of our purpose, the motivations and the rewards that inspire us. To me, a key also represents initiation – a trait that overcomes fear of failure.

Ever since I saw Coraline, I wanted a Skeleton Key necklace. Having a skeleton key (master key) means I can open any lock, any door and is a confident reminder for myself.

The key is an object symbolic of opening and closing powers. It represents knowledge, mystery, initiation, and curiosity. Traditionally, a silver key refers to temporal power. (relating to earthly life) and gold keys represent spiritual power. I am eyeing the silver oval Tiffany one. Here are some of my favorites.

According to Dream-Land, this is what it means when you dream of keys:
“The key represents your ability to open and close doors. This dream usually is a message saying that with the logic, intelligence and reasoning you can solve any problems. Looking at a key in the dream means that you will be told a secret or you will find a solution to a puzzle. If you are unlocking something, be careful, you might get involved into a risky adventure. If you are losing a key in the dream, because of your carelessness you might lose good opportunities. Finding a key in the dream foretells good chances in work and love. If you find a key which belongs to somebody else, you will soon find out a secret.”
