LULU attended the show for Heydoyou.com and did live sketches!
It was a really great experience drawing sketches with the strong beats and models running on the stage with big smile. The watches presentation was very unique. They set a running stage for the watches. It was like watches had the catwalk at the same time.

NYFW | Nicholas K ss17 in live sketches

Nicholas K kicked off New York Fashion Week on the first official fashion week day. Nicholas K is a global luxury brand that elicits the modern urban nomad. It has been one of CFDA members since 2010. SS17 was inspired from the 2014 movie “Theeb”, which is a 2014 Jordanian Arabic-language film written and directed by Naji Abu Nowar. The design team of Nicholas K picked the idea and feeling from movie and then put in the new line, such as the earth color. From the images we can see the new line still keeps Nicholas K style but more neutral and loose. I love the oversized floppy hats by the way!

It was very glad to meet Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Miss USA Deshauna Barber at the show.
Lulu captured them in the front row!

New York Fashion Week – Denibi Utopia Collection
Heydoyou.com was invited to attend Denibi’s New York Fashion Week runway show yesterday.
The new collection named Utopia.

Collection notes:
“The main inspiration of the brand came from the single ebony wood mask named Nostalgia. That is our main source of inspiration. Its minimalism, its meaning and its aesthetic is what developed our entire collection. Nostalgia is also the first piece of art that we ever made.”

About the brand:
Denibi is a fashion house born and based in Barcelona. We specialize in high quality leather goods, ready-to-wear, and furniture inspired by the city of Barcelona, the essence of traveling, African heritage and minimalism.
The name “Denibi” symbolizes a utopia for creatives. An island never damaged or influenced by any negative foreign interference. Where creatives are able to push themselves to the fullest of their artistic abilities in the comfort of like minds and limitless possibility. That concept is what we know today as the future. Denibi has been preparing the future for years to bring fine taste and minimalism through design. The architecture and aesthetic of the island is represented through the many tones of pastel colors and whites throughout each collection.
