    Ladies Night!

A different kind of ladies night though…A couple weeks ago my friend and I went to Designing Dish in East Aurora, NY, which is about a half hour from Buffalo. We attended their special “Ladies Nights” from 6-8pm, that is every Thursdays.

Designing Dish specializes in pottery painting, glass fusing, and silver clay. My friend and I did glass fusing and my dish turned out better than I thought it would.

They had a bunch of tables with different shapes and sizes of glass that you can choose from. You then place whatever pieces you want on your piece of glass and you glue it. They do the rest by firing the piece of glass! Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the process but it’s very easy to do and no experience is needed.

Not really sure what I’m going to do with my dish but for now, it works as a holder for random things of mine…My friend made a business card holder (which is the same process I did – they end up firing your glass to whatever you choose). I chose the design and colors so if you don’t like this one, you can do whatever you want – even cutting the glasses to the size you want it to be.

So far I have a penny, a stress ball, and a lipstick holder on it…

Silver clay includes designing your own earrings, charms, necklaces, pendants, and more. When they fire it, it becomes 99% silver! Pottery painting includes choosing one of their ceramic pieces and then a design and colors.

This was a great time to just hang out with a friend or friends and just relax and catch up. It was something new that I never tried either that ended up being a lot of fun. I definitely hope to go back and try pottery painting the next time.

Check out their Facebook for more information, or the link I attached above.
