Tulip Skirt
It’s summer time! What better way to show off your new shoes and legs than to rock a tulip skirt.

Like an inverted tulip, a tulip skirt has more fabric around the waistline and a close-fitting hemline. This is a new shape that is flattering to everyone and makes you look like you have a bum :). Here are some of my favorites!

Medusa: Looks that Kill
My biggest concern when it comes to different brands of makeup is the quality of the pigment. Most drugstore brands are low in pigment: it looks like peacock blue in the case but it looks like pigeon poo on your hand. You get my drift. I jumped on the mineral makeup train back in 2007 and have been using it as part of my daily routine. Mineral makeup is 100% pigment and the magic ingredient… mica! Some of my favorite mineral brands include id bare minerals, micabella and now Medusa!

medusa eye dustThe first time I came across Medusa’s Make Up was at the Pool Trade Show in Las Vegas in August 2008. Since then, I have seen it featured on numerous magazines and blogs. They must be doing something right! With names like Blue Balls, Wasabi, Jailbait & Blow… This brand is speaking to the clubgo-er, the trendsetter, the real mccoy of the fashion scene – and it’s mineral! How to get GaGa’s look?

Well, you can do it with Medusa’s eye dust. Check the tutorial.

Red Sunglasses
There is something about sunglasses that really add that pow to your summer outfit. Besides adding mystery, rock star quality and blocking UV rays – sunglasses really allow you to check guys out without them ever knowing. Red sunglasses are the ish this summer. Red can mean so many things, you can use the color red to grab attention and to get people to take action. Use red when you don’t want to sink into the background. Use red to suggest speed combined with confidence and perhaps even a dash of danger. A little bit of red goes a long way. Small doses can often be more effective than large amounts of this strong color. Multiple shades of red and even pink or orange can combine for a cheerful palette. sourceBold red plastic frames: from Jessica Biel to Lindsay Lohan to Paris Hilton

They have at least 5 stores with a huge selection. Over 100 different types easily and not more than $5 a pop. Kensington Market is on Spadina Ave south of College, north of Dundas. Go get yourself a pair or ten. ^_^

KangaROOS
MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC (January 2009) – Having leapt out of the blocks back in 1979, the KangaROOS brand is marking thirty years of original, athletic footwear with a commemorative collection of classic styles. The “30 Year” capsule collection is lead by the unmistakable “Combat” – The authentic ROOS running shoe that has triumphed time after time in marathons across the planet. Lovingly re-crafted to the same specifications as the originals, the shoes come in a lightweight nylon/suede upper, with a super comfortable EVA mid-sole, and of course the defining oversized external pocket. The Combat will be offered to men only for spring 09, in black & red; starting fall 2009 for women’s in fun bright colors. Lovers of basketball inspired shoes will love the ROOS sports heritage with the “Skywalker” women’s hi-top in a multicolor version. The Skywalker got its name as a result of its super lightweight thick-weaved canvas construction and it screams 80’s taste and design aesthetics. With a branded rubber cup sole, adjustable ankle strap and the much-vaunted external pocket this shoe was made to perform.

About KangaROOS…
KangaROOS started in 1979 when an American, Bob Gamm, struggled to find a place to keep his keys and change while out jogging. His problem led him to design trainers with small zippered pockets which he called KangaROOS. Now 30 years later, we invite you to celebrate KangaROOS’ incredible journey by grabbing a slice of history, in the ‘30 Year Collection’ – Available in February 2009.
