    Manifesto LOVE

On Sunday, hundreds of people including myself were treated to many hours of live entertainment and other awesome activites during Manifesto’s all day “super” block-party. The weather was so nice, and the good vibes were definitely floating around as we watched Dundas Square transform into a multidisciplinary urban arts playground; featuring live performances by some of Canada’s musical legends, emerging talent, not to mention the handful of international guests. There were also tonnes of vendors, a bboy/bgirl open dance floor, lots of good food, workshops, and so much more! If you weren’t there, you totally missed out. I was bummed that I missed the First Look Cypher (heard it was awesome), but I’m glad I was able to catch the rest of the performances, cause they were dope!

    Fresco P and Shannon Boodram

Watching these artists turn plain new era snap-backs into works of art was awesome!

    Great performance by Narcicyst.

Everybody came out to show L-O-V-E!

    The One Clothing was there!

LIWI was there, and I totally got hooked up with a dope tee and hoodie!

Thoroughly enjoyed the performance by The Lytics

    88 Days baby!!

    GlassHearts. Gimme everything!

Stalley (Ohio/ Maybach Music)- They love him in Toronto!

Times Neue Roman gave us a good show!

More people showing their love and support for Manifesto!

Serious dance performance by the All-Styles Council

    Pretty ladies 🙂

Ooloo Clothing was there. Love that shirt. “I’m not a hater, I just don’t like you” ha ha ha

    More L-O-V-E.

    Heartbeats T.O was there!

I can’t wait for next year, I plan to get into ALL the Manifesto activites!

Congratulations on 5 years of Manifesto, and a big thanks to everybody that made this years Manifesto Festival extra special!

    **videos coming soon!**

    peace and love

    New Music: The Get By

Love that underground Toronto hip-hop music? Well, say ‘hello’ to The Get By. Made up of two emcees (Justis and Mantis) and radio and club DJ Pangea Delphi, they know how to drop a beat.

Definitely not new to the Canadian hip-hop industry, The Get By has shared stages with Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek (Reflection Eternal), Asher Roth, People Under The Stairs, Rapper Big Pooh (of little brother fame), Kardinal Official, Classified, Shad K, DJ Red Alert, Scratch from the Legendary Roots and lots more.

This Toronto-based group will be releasing new music every Monday until their album release in early September. Check out their myspace and get familiar.

Check out this off-track song, “Cruise Control.” Download it here! What do you think of it?

FRESH new music: The Get By

The Get By are 2 emcees and 1 DJ based in Toronto.  Their goal is bring hip-hop to the point where people aren’t mainstream or underground. To create timeless music that is honest, soulful and represents who they are and who they want to be. To give people who demand more out of hip hop something to connect with. As the group works on their debut group effort, 2010 has already been shaping into a good year. With videos, touring and an album all on the horizon everyone is soon to discover what The Get By is all about. Fresh as a new shirt and cooler then the other side of the pillow.

The Get By is all of us.

    ENJOY their music.
