(TO) LG Fashion Week – Rachel Mara
Rachel Mara debuted her “Stolen” collection Wednesday night apart of LG Fashion week. The spring-summer line was very sophisticated, classy and sexy. She drew her inspiration from classic film heroines, from bank and jewellery heist movies like Bonnie and Clyde (Sexy, Intriguing and Dangerous females). The collection definitely had a vintage vibe going on, a retro 60’s glam. Here are some pics of my favorite pieces.
LOVED IT!

(TO) Tattoos of the 10s
Temporary Tattoos are making a come back and I’m not talking about the ones in the bubble gum machines. These tattoos are coming straight off the runway and are very fashionable! This is great for a person who wants to get a tattoo, but is too afraid of the painful ordeal.
The following designers have launched their own lines; Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Rodarte and recently added Beyonce (Dereon will release their temporary tattoo line on Nov 1). Prices range from $20 – $90. Would you wear them?*HeyDoYou is for the cute, clever and connected* - Uncategorized
(T.O.) Why I LOVE it: Hey Mr. Greg May
During TIFF, I did a brief interview with Greg May of Greg May Hair Architects; and in that interview he was giving us some info on his new “fully loaded argan oil” line, which smells like orange creamsicle FYI!!
For those of you that haven’t had the pleasure of witnessing my obsession with hair products, let me tell you this. I friggin LOVE them, but only if they offer…BENEFITS! And argan oil, brings the BENEFITS!Um… as much as I love you guys, I will not be sharing the picturewith my shrunken fro, thank you very much. lol, so this will have to do 🙂Anyway, after speaking with Greg, I was super excited to try out his new line; I even made an exception and used the shampoo. Why was this an exception? Because I don’t like shampoo… whatever don’t judge me! As a kid I hated shampooing my hair, it was just an unpleasant experience. As an adult, I find that nothings changed; except this time it’s not only myself that hates shampoo, but so does my hair. So I usually skip the shampooing stage, and wash my hair with conditioner, before doing a deep conditioning treatment. Some of the MANY benefits: reduces frizz, adds shine, and increases natural hydration. It also provides a thin, protective coating, that helps protect the hair from damage caused by flat irons, curling irons and blow dryers… WINNER!!Anyway, Mr. Greg May, TWO THUMBS UP for the “fully loaded argan oil” line! If I had more hands I’d give you double thumbs up with those as well! My hair felt soooo luxurious after… so soft, shiny and it smelled sooo GOOD. So GOOD!
peace and love

(NY) For Colored Girls by Tyler Perry
“being colored a metaphysical dilemma i haven’t conquered yet”The movie is based on Ntozake Shange’s play “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.” Unlike the original play which featured only 7 women known by colors performing the collection of 20 poems, the movie has given each of the 20 characters names. Each of the poems deal with intense issues that particularly impact women in a thought-provoking commentary on what it means to be a female of color in the world.
A movie based on this book:Star studded cast, epic directorial, breathtaking soundtrack… Before you remind me that I am Chinese and this movie is not for me – let me remind you that the issues minority women face are in fact universal and not based on racial difference. The reason why I am excited for this movie is because it powerful and emotional and of cultural importance.Absolutely cannot wait to see this movie. PS, Tyler Perry, i love you even though you are a Virgo. Each of the women portray one of the characters represented in the collection of twenty poems, revealing different issues that impact women in general and women of color in particular.Comes out Nov 5th!*HeyDoYou is for the cute, clever and connected* - Uncategorized
(NY) Sen7 Atomizer
Sexy, mobile, futuristic, convenient, genuis and European! The awesome PR team at Sen7 sent me over a sample of this perfume atomizer to try and the package got to my New York apartment before I did! So i had to go down to USPS today to get my package. Ooh lala! This is the perfect gift for the holiday season. What is it? A stainless steel device for you to make you perfume mobile, perfect for globetrotting. The point is, this is revolutionary and you can take your perfume out with you now. And… I’m giving it away to one lucky winner… So if you want to win it —-> look on the side bar. If you want to buy it, you can go here:The sen7 fragrance atomizer has a tank volume of 5.8 ml. That amounts to roughly 70 sprays, and is enough for one to two weeks or longer, depending on the frequency of use. Here’s how it works: Pressing on the atomizer head opens a small shutter, unblocking the nozzle and activating the spray function. Releasing the atomizer head closes the shutter again.
Sen7 is not just for everyday use – it’s also ideal for short business trips or weekends away, that is, anywhere where small travel sizes are a must! If you are filling sen7 with a different fragrance, the tank should be cleaned beforehand with warm water or preferably with pure alcohol to ensure that the perfume components do not mix with one another.

(LA) Time to Revamp your Nails!
Can you count off the top of your head how many bottles of nail polish you own? I don’t know about you but I have so many shoe boxes filled with nail polishes I can’t even remember how many of each color I have. The worst part is after using each color a few times after buying it, I forget about it or I get tired of the color so I end up buy more and more (probably a bad habit :)).After searching through my boxes today for a color that suited my mood at the time I realized I didn’t really like any of the colors I sorted through. I thought about layering colors and I’ve done that many times before but I never seem to get the exact color/effect I want from layering.Sooooo I came to the conclusion that since I didn’t want to spend money on more polish and I didn’t want to layer, I’m going to make my own color! Here’s what I did:I bought an empty nail polish bottle from a nail supply store. Make sure the brush quality is good or you’ll get uneven streaks when you paint your nails.Sation in Black OPI in Alpine SnowOPI in Russian NavyI decided I wanted some type of dark gray color so I choose the three colors above from my collection. I mixed about three parts black to three parts white to one part blue. (Blue just for a peeking undertone) You can choose any colors you like and the best part is you can keep adding drops of color until you find the perfect shade. And this was my finished product after two coats and a shiny top coat. I chose to use all matte colors because I feel like the matte no shimmer look works really well for the fall. Dark gray brings black down a notch but still makes a statement perfect for any occasion or any outfit.
Try mixing your own colors and you’ll rediscover all your old nail polishes. Not to mention you’ll be saving money too!
