    Sagz Jeans

Do you love the look of sagging pants but can’t get quite the right ratio of boxers-to-jeans when you need it most? Then you, my friend, need…Sagz!

Oh yes, this is a real product. Over at Yahoo! Shine, they’ve discovered Sagz Jeans, a denim invention that comes with built-in boxers that let you control how low you go. “Consumers can ‘sag’ their jeans at different levels without having to constantly pull up their pants, resulting in more time to be active, express themselves and show their SWAG,” their website explains. Because, um, nothing says “rebellious fashion streak” quite like ponying up $100 to fake the perfect sag? Check out the commercial (and I swear, this is not a Saturday Night Live Sketch):

Check This Out – Page One

Working at an almost 30 year old publishing firm, this trailer went through the office and has evoked many, manyyy opinions. Page One is the limitedly screened film about the ‘goings on’ during one year at The New York Times, when print editorial first met its biggest threat… online mass media. Check the trailer below, i’m dying to catch this film. As mentioned, several people at my office were able to view a screening and definitely came back with plenty to talk about.

Produced by Magnolia Pictures of Ong Bak & I’m Still Here, the Joaquin Phoenix moc-umentary.xoxo.

    Mystery Guy #13

On the 7 all the way to Flushing, I saw this lil man. He is definitely mystery guy worthy. He is, afterall, only 3 years old. He is sagging his jeans low and his diapers are showing. How adorable. What kinda man are you going to grow up to be? By the year 2020, you will be only 12 years old. Wow.
    Only time will tell.

Roni Boutique for Labor Day Weekend

With about a month until Labor Day, it’s time to start thinking about what you’ll be wearing for one of the most fun weekends of the summer…

If you’re looking for the perfect outfit—think celebrity-level stylish—I’d definitely suggest checking out Roni, a trendy clothing line and boutique with locations in Soho, Nolita, and West Village, which features exclusive designs from the Roni label itself as well as unique designers you won’t find anywhere else including Alexia Admor, Carolina Amato, LAMB, Laila Azhar, and LaRok, and many others.

Roni’s styles have been worn by celebrities like, Kelly Ripa, Brooke Shields, Aisha Taylor and more.  Check out some photos below!

Do you still follow the rule “no white after Labor Day”? I feel like if you want to rock it, go for it.  In Miami (where I’m from) no one bats an eye about a little post-LD white. 🙂

The great thing is you won’t break the bank with styles like these because everything—rompers, dresses, jackets—at Roni is priced between $100 and $500.

    Inglot Cosmetics Makeup Courses

Last week I visited Inglot Cosmetics’ flagship studio in Chelsea Market for a class on Smokey Eye makeup application. The studio is a bit of a hidden gem, located on the 5th floor of Chelsea Market, but definitely worth a visit!  It doubles as a retail space, open to professionals and consumers alike.

For professionals, Inglot also has a photo studio and all the necessary equipment available for photo shoots.

We got a preview of the class, presented by head makeup artist, Brooklyn.  Brooklyn was a fantastic instructor!  He really knows his craft and is a true expert on Inglot’s extensive product line.  Smokey Eyes is just one of their classes. Also available:

    • Day to Night Look
    • Contour & Highlight
    • Flawless Complexion

The classes are complimentary with the purchase of $100 or more in cosmetics.  And with Inglot’s sensible pricing, you’ll definitely get a lot of bang for your buck.
