Ice Castles in Utah

Living in Vegas, the summer days are long and endless and the winter days are just a few short weeks. The city erupts with excitement at the first glimpse of cold and this year we even got some snow days. But only a few hours away is a real winter wonderland!

We went to visit the amazing man made Ice Castle in the city of Midway, Utah. It was easy to get there, parking was easy too, we had to make a line to enter but it was pretty quick, you had to use a mask the whole time there but it actually helped with the cold! Inside they had a little trailer selling hot drinks and pastries.

Ice Castles is an awe-inspiring, must-see winter phenomenon that brings fairy tales to life. The experience includes breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, and fountains

There was two bigger frozen slides for kids 42″ and taller but th video where Diana was sliding was perfect for the little ones who couldn’t go on the bigger slides. The music from Frozen really set the mood for the kids and adults alike!

At around 5 they turn on lights inside the caves but we didn’t stay to see them in the dark because we had already been there for 2 hrs and it was getting cold and we were definitely tired out! We will be back again next season for sure!
