Love Song from @iSkin
ISKIN TREATS ITS CUSTOMERS TO AN ORIGINAL LOVE SONG THIS VALENTINE’S DAY
iSkin releases Cool in You 2011 contest winner, Charlotte Kosc’s, debut single, “Be My Valentine”
TORONTO, Canada – February 14, 2012 — iSkin, a global leader in premium tech lifestyle accessories, is spreading the love today by offering their community of loyal supporters the opportunity to download the newly recorded single of up-and-coming Canadian singer-songwriter, Charlotte Kosc, “Be My Valentine,” for free.
“We had a blast hearing it live in the recording studio, and Charlotte is an innately musical talent we’re proud to discover through Cool in You.” says Rishi Persaud, VP of Corporate Affairs, “Her tonal palette is unbelievably formed and we were surprised to hear her song-writing and guitar-playing gifts as well. We’re thrilled to release and share her original composition, ‘Be My Valentine’.”
Charlotte won the iSkin/Tribute.ca Cool in You contest last August 2011, an online search to find the next big Canadian musical talent. “Be My Valentine” was the result of a two-day recording prize with top, platinum record producer, Marcus Kane, who personally mastered the single. It is an original composition by Charlotte Kosc, about a growing “crush” for boy who is aloof to a girl’s attraction.
This special gift is complemented by an additional offer from iSkin that ends Valentine’s Day, in the form of savings towards Valentine’s eGift Cards, which can be sent instantly, and premium accessories for Apple and BlackBerry products in its Valentine’s Gift Guide (www.iskin.com/giftguide/
valentine ).“Be my Valentine” can be downloaded at www.CharlotteKosc.com and is available for free to everyone.

The First Ever Refinery29 DIY Nail Kit
@Refinery29 has teamed up with the Color Club to create their own branded line of nail polishes. All the polishes make up the DIY nail kit they’ve called “Girl Crush.” The DIY kit was created because of the huge amount of love they received over the DIY nail series that was on the site. The launch of Girl Crush reflects the joining of content and commerce into one pretty little package. The kit will be limited edition and only a limited amount will be made, for exclusivity.
(from left to right) Bad Romance (black), Candyland (light pink), Tough Love (dark pink), Spark Plug (sparkle), Okay, Cupid (red), and White Wedding (white)
For $29, you’ll receive six bottles of polish, a nail art brush, and a DIY guide. These polishes are, of course, made in the USA, the high quality Refinery29 “Girl Crush” nail colors are vegan, Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and paraben-free and made with the best raw materials. We wouldn’t expect any less from Refinery29, right?

Event LOVE: #VdayByVeet
The #VdayByVeet event at the Trump International Hotel last week, was so much fun! I loved everything from “Marylin Monroe’s” singing, the decadent hors d’oeuvres, pink desserts and champagne, the performance by Lights… ugh it was a great night! I loved walking down the pink carpet with all the “paparazzi” taking pictures and begging me to look their way, I forgot I was in Toronto for a minute. I also got to try the new Veet Easy Wax, which I now love, and I’m so happy we got a kit that we could try at home!

Kris Nations Jewelry
These are so cute! We found these a few weeks ago and they are just the most adorable pieces for spring. Accessorize the jumpsuit, dress or swingy tank with these perfect pieces.

Go-to jewelry designer Kris Nations continues to master the bridge between trend-right and timeless everyday pieces. Whether it’s her signature “State” mini charms, sweet friendship bracelets, or classic hammered hoops – these are great staples to build great fashion stores on.

Fashion stories like her new 2012 Trend Collection inspired by the art and architecture of the American Southwest, which mixes Art Deco style from the 1920s and 30’s with the vibrant colors and decorative motifs of Navajo textiles and Zuni pottery. The entire collection is proudly made in the USA.

@GossipGirl Recap: Crazy, Cupid Love
Is there any better way to celebrate the eve of Valentine’s Day than watching the Upper East Siders shop Cartier jewellery in the comfort of their own home? At least Serena (Blake Lively) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) are on #teamforeveralone tonight. Of course Blair (Leighton Meester) is always on a mission for love and tries to set up Dan and Serena. As for Nate (Chace Crawford) and chasing poor catering girls, I don’t think Blair’s cupid skills can help with that.
Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) is the life of the episode and totally schooling Blair on manipulating her minions. She creates a “Come As You Are” tribute to high school party and gets the Spectator to hold it. Plaid, khakis and ‘spin the bottle’ games? I’m in! As if we’re not done waltzing in the past, even Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) comes back and immediately gets herself caught in Georgina’s web. But the secret weapon to crushing Blair’s not-so-loveless day is through more of Dan’s interference.
Georgina forces Dan to kiss Blair, but of course that doesn’t happen. He needs to do it on his own (and in front of Serena) so it can really have an impact. Although I’m totally a Dan and Blair fan, I’m not enjoying how this is playing out. There’s too much to lose: a pre-nup, a best-friend, Chuck? I’m glad Blair at least knows better to stay away from this one. But we all know how well she deals with desire.

Reebok Classics – Jonathan Mannion Gallery Event
Over the weekend, I got the chance to view the @ReebokClassics Instaclassics event featuring the photography of Jonathan Mannion. Jonathan started his career with just a passion for hip hop, expanding his passion into what his career is today in photography. With celebrity clientele like Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, and many more, Jonathan Mannion has become a huge name in the hip hop/urban industry as being the photography that brings rappers, singers, and stars alike, back down to the basics and to their roots. Jonathan takes his photographs to a next level, letting the celeb he’s shooting really shine through. In attendance to the weekend fun-filled event includes The Game, Swizz Beatz, Rocsi Diaz, Omarion, Teyana Taylor with performances by DJ Quik and Big Daddy Kane.
