Beautiful Brazil
Part of my 2 year plan is to get my ass to Brazil… its too mystical, too beautiful, and too exotic for me to not experience in my 20’s… I wanna explore the Amazon, discover hidden secrets, lay on the world’s most beautiful beaches, handglide off of a mountain, go rafting under mystical waterfalls, jump up in Rio for Carnival… wait and see, if you think I’m joking! Some of the most beautiful landmarks, animals and people are from Brazil, the experience alone is my drive.I’ve wanted to visit since 6th grade when I was assigned a massive report on Brazil… while in actuality the project was only about a page in length, it was the first time that a school assignment really caught my attention on an internal level. I think it was the diversity of the land but more-so of the people that first called my name, and the feeling sustains… I love how there are so many colours and shades and hair-types and tan lines!!! I heard, Brazilian Supermodel Raquel Zimmerman talk about Brazilian people saying “…there is a mixture of all cultures darker skin in the north, blondes in the south, and mixes make people beautiful”… I may be biased, but MUST say I agree!

YOYO (You’re On Your Own)!
With some many acrynoms and BBM messages infilitrating what we use to know as common English, do you sometimes wonder WTF people are saying? I picked up this book today and I love it! I was laughing and trying to retain most of it. Like all slang, some stick and some don’t – but this is a great read for those who want to communicate with the Gen D (generation digital).
Here are some of my favorites:
Deja poo – feeling that you have stepped in this bull before
WOMBAT – Waste of Money, Bandwidth and Time
WFH – Work from Home
Two Comma – anything over $1,000,000 or more!
Straight to video – the kind of guy/girl you entertain at home but not seen in public with
Special sauce – business jargon for anything proprietary
SEP – somebody else’s problem
September 10 – outdated, old fashion and no long cool (world before Sept 11)
Retrosexual – the opposite of metrosexual!
Photox – Photoshop Botox
Moved to Atlanta – 404 error (Altanta area code)and my favorite. Blook – a blog that turns into a book

Musicovery
Probably one of my favourite things in the world is listening to the radio. I love the unpredicatbility of what comes on next and I squeal with glee when old/forgotten songs come on! Now you can stream the coolest radio site in the world wide web. Musicovery (music + discovery) allows you to mark your favourite songs, ban the songs you hate and listen for free.99! Premium membership is only $4US. You can pick genre, time period and mood. This is what makes this webradio truly original. The mood music is a quadrant ‘energetic’, ‘calm’, ‘dark’ & ‘positive’. Listeners can intuitively find music matching their mood. Today, I picked ‘dark’ x ‘calm’, R&B and the playlist they generated for me included:Brandy & Monica – That Boy is MineJohn Legend – Save Room of My LoveTamia – MoreAlicia Keys – If I Was Your Women+ lots moreThis is perfect for those long work days where you simply cannot stand another Pizza advertisement :P. Or house parties where you want to impress your guests with your musical selection. I have gone through 4 laptops and numerous mp3 players in the last few years and have lost my music collection over and over again. So Musicovery saved my life.If you like any of the songs you can directly click to buy it on iTunes, Amazon and Ebay.
