NYC Tasting Event March 25 – @VillageVoice @ChoiceEats
Foodies (and lushes), it’s that time again… The Village Voice Choice Eats tasting event is taking place March 25, 2014!
I’ve been a fan of Choice Eats for years now and each year it keeps getting better! Imagine this: 80+ restaurants under one roof, plus complimentary beer garden and wine and liquor pairings, all for one price. I’ve always loved Village Voice’s tasting events for a few reasons: amazing food, great venue, music and a great crowd. Even in the years I’ve gone solo, there are always awesome people (all in jovial spirits, of course) to chop it up with, literally!
This year I’ll be back to cover it and I wanted to make sure to get the word out about this not to be missed event. VIP tickets are sold out, but you can still purchase general admission tickets for $60 online or $70 at the door. This event is always sold out, so I would strongly suggest pre-purchasing unless you want to risk missing out.
A plus is that while you’re stuffing your face, you’ll be supporting a great cause: Slow Food NYC, the New York City chapter of Slow Food, a non-profit, member-supported organization founded in 1989 to counteract the culture of fast food.

I know I can’t be the only girl obsessed with nails, and I finally found a place to call home with @TheNailsShow today at CARGO. For £15 at the door you can glam up your nails with other like-minded divas.
I got to chat with Nicole, the founder of Total Renewal who created tonights event. She realized the growing need for nail buffs to have a place to shine outside of the salon. As she says, ““Nails have become an accessory, a fashion statement and a part of our regular grooming.”
This is the first time I witnessed a manicure show-down. With only 20 minutes to design it was as intense as Hell’s Kitchen.

Social Mixer For Social Good
I feel honored to have been asked to be a part of the ‘Social Mixer For Social Good’, presented by Special Event Bootcamp, a private VIP reception for event professionals held at the Berkeley Church’s newly rennovated Field House. I worked with an incredible team to produce a fashion show for ‘Bullets 4 Peace’, a new L.A. based jewellery line made from real bullet casings; gorgeous pieces getting the attention of people around the world, including Beyonce & Jamie Foxx. “Every Bullet has a Target” and the target of this event was to ‘raise awareness and do some social good’. A portion of the night’s procedes went to the “Believe to Achieve” Foundation.Below are my shots from the night! xoxo
