@LeChateauStyle Spring/Summer 2014 Preview #walkinclost
The weather has been yucky these past couple of weeks but that wasn’t enough to stop us from passing by the Thompson Residences to check out the new Le Chateau Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Pretty clothes, pretty shoes, tasty wine and cupcakes, are exactly what I needed after a long, cold and rainy day.
We walked into a gorgeous suite and were greeted with a cocktail before being led into the first room, which was the ladies bedroom; where some of the ladies were getting quick manis, as well as perusing the new collection in the decked out walk-in closet! Once we got the goods on the womenswear, we headed over to the men’s room to check out what was in that walk-in closet…the woman’s walk-in closet was way more fun…naturally lol

The sleeves zip right off! #love
So soft and comfy…
I was actually very impressed with their shoes
If my man’s room looked like this, I’d wanna be in there a lot more lol
Grown and sexy business.
All grown men must have a few suits. Standard.
Sarah hiding from the camera lol
Mr. Borha 🙂
Ese’s top 5 favourite pieces from the collection.
The view was everything!!
Have you ever seen two people cheese this hard over some vitamin water??? lol
I even learned how to use chopsticks!
connecting… 🙂
Everybody loves Ese 🙂
This is one good looking picture!!
sweet treats from ps by prettysweet.
shoes, shoes, shoes! Once we were done checking out the collection, we hung out in the suite, snacking on freshly made sushi, cupcakes and sipped on a variety of cocktails while chatting it up with some of our favourite bloggers and media personalities 🙂
Big thank you to the Le Chateau team for inviting us!

Event LOVE: Private Dinner @MichaelsOnSimcoe #michaelseoe
***DISCLAIMER*** You’re going to need a bib, a napkin, maybe even a towel before, during and after this, because it’s about to get real tasty around here!!
We were invited to attend the media launch of Michael’s on Simcoe, a modern Italian Steakhouse that playfully combines the best in contemporary cuisine, located in the heart of the Financial and Entertainment Districts of downtown Toronto . I didn’t understand what they meant when they said that it was Toronto’s best kept secret, but by the time I had a bite of my first appetizer, I knew exactly why!
They promised us an evening of elegance and I can honestly say that they delivered on that promise and more! The event was supposed to start at 7:30pm, but they decided to spoil us even more and invited select media to a private dinner hosted by Moët & Chandon before the actual dinner! I can’t describe how fast I got dressed just so I could get there already.
We were greeted with a tall, crisp glass of champagne and then led to the bar area where we were showered (yes that’s what it felt like)… we were showered with all kinds of delicious appetizers and of course more champagne. We hadn’t even sat down at the table and I was already getting full, but I wore a loose dress just so I could taste and savour everything that they had to offer! So now, enough talking. Sit back, relax (don’t forget your bib, if you haven’t started drooling already 🙂 ) and enjoy!

…when you have to take a #selfie because you need to show much you’re really enjoying the food, but you’re so full and you won’t stop, and even though you’re not smiling, your eyes show just how HAPPY you are! Yes.
There was so much wine throughout the evening, and not one empty glass!
classy washrooms… So what are my thoughts on Michael’s On Simcoe? I think I’ve already made it pretty clear that the food was fantastic! If I were to give my overall experience a rating out of 10, I would give them a 10. The wines were perfectly paired throughout our meal, and the staff? The staff took service to a whole new level, they knew the menu and their wines inside out, they were super attentive, friendly without being invasive, and accommodated every single request. Top notch service. Would I recommend it? Well if I have to recommend it after these pictures then I’m not sure you deserve all that goodness! I kid, Of Course you should go. You have to go.
Thank you so much to the Michael’s on Simcoe team for a truly amazing and elegant evening, and to Meg and the EPR team; THANK YOU for always taking such good care of us 🙂 xo
Cheers!

Guestpost by @RegularQuis: CMJ Reggae Party @RICKYBLAZE
So I want to introduce myself, my name is Marquis Thibodeaux, and this is my first post as a guess blogger for HeyDoYou, well for anything to be honest lol. To tell you a little about myself I am a extremely adventurous person who loves to just go out and experience life, meaning I like to party! But I also like laid back events. So yeah, I am forever in love with the raw design of fashion and I crave knowledge!! But that’s just a little bit about me.
So for my first event post, I went to a CMJ Reggae party put together by Brooklyn-nite Ricky Blaze. At first there weren’t many people there but as the night progressed and the party began to start, the entertainment factor quickly shit they the roof. Ricky Blaze was the first to perform and he performed a couple hits that are very familiar in the reggae circuit and he brought up a few guest to perform so songs with. The next performer to go up was the headliner, Mr. Vegas. His set was crazy! He performed ALL of his hits, brought up guest and took people back in time, to relive all of the songs he and we grew up to. All in all this night was a huge success, the crowd was into it and the party was bananas!Find more events by Ricky Blaze on http://www.rickyblazetv.com -
Girlie Fun Events with @PamperMeFab
This event was held last weekend and a ton of NYC and NJ women came out to shop, dance and eat. There were fitness classes, jewelry vendors, massages and lots of goodies to try. It was really refreshing to see all these women get together for a day of fun and leave their husbands in peace for Sunday Football.
Our gift bags included a ton of goodies like Colby’s Kettle Corn gift certificate (Which I already ordered), Murad beauty products, Pop Chips with Katy Perry and various beauty samples, body oils and lipgloss. I am so happy I got to catch up with Leaura from EverSoPopular and reconnect with our friend at Hanes.
Catch their next event in a city near you!

Veld Fest 2013 Pictures
If you are from Toronto I’m sure you have seen and heard about the wild concert/rave at Downsview Park this past long weekend. Over the weekend there was Caribana, Drake’s OVO, and EDM Veld music festival. It was the 2nd year for the festival and last year attracted over 50,000 fans and some of the top DJs around the world including Toronto’s Deadmau5. Here are some pictures from the festival, was it better than Caribana and OVO? What do you think?

Event LOVE: Last day of @CPFW2013
Canada Philippine Fashion Week (CPFW) fabulously strutted into town with all the glitz, glamour and culture that anyone could hope for a couple weeks ago. Due to my work schedule, I wasn’t able to go to all the events, but I made sure that I was there to celebrate the last of CPFW. There. Was. No Way. That I was going to miss it. What was great about this event is that I got to see pieces from the collections of all the designers up-close, as well as meet some of the designers, which was awesome! It’s different to see clothes on the runway, but when you get up-close you get to see all the clean finishes, the intricate details, you get to feel the fabric… it was great!
GOTSTYLE was the perfect place to celebrate the last day of CPFW Toronto 2013.

Looking sharp sir!
The featured Filipino and Canadian designers were: Amina Aranaz, Brian Maristela, Francis Libiran, John Ablaza, John De Porter, Leonard Co, Noel Crisostomo, Norman Noriega, and Roland Alzate.

Gorgeous gowns!
The details!! Love.Loved hanging out with Ms. Theresa!

Jon De Porter’s jewellery is GORGEOUS!!!

This dress is heavy, but beautifully made!

These clutches maaaaaaaaannnnn! All hand-made. Love.

These blazers are for men, but I’d totally rock them, any day!!

Are you seeing how CLEAN these blazers are???

Getting the 4-1-1 on these beautiful gowns.

“It’s all about the chest!” these two were so funny lol

I spent some time trying on pretty much all the pieces lol

THESE. EARRINGS. ARE .EVERYTHING.

She couldn’t resist and had to try on the dress. I don’t blame you girl!

“…because normal never lead to extraordinary”

One more time man. I love these earrings.

I cannot wait for the next CPFW, and there is no way I’m missing that one. A big congratulations to Jeff Rustia, and the whole CPFW team for putting on an amazing week of fashion and culture, and especially to the designers for sharing their beautiful collections with us.
