Event LOVE: Canadian Club @cc_whisky
We were recently summoned by the Canadian Club Chairman to share in his “Whisky Whisdoms” at the inaugural Canadian Club National Club meeting; which was held at Hart House in downtown Toronto, and hosted by the Canadian Club Chairman himself. Myself, Kaylaa, and many others ditched our wine glasses/beer cups for classic Canadian Club cocktails, enjoyed hearty hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Chairman’s own five food groups, and some of us even got to experience the perks of the CC Club membership; which included style tips and rewards from Korry’s Clothiers and Bode Spa.
Whisky tasting time! I think we went three or four rounds…
I’m not a Whisky drinker, but I DRANK some Whisky that night, and it was gooooood 🙂

It really was a fun night, we did a whisky tasting, then got some delicious whisky cocktails, then we snacked on some AMAZING hors d’oeuvres, THEN we took pictures with the chairman… we did this over and over again, and it was GREAT! I can’t wait for the next meeting!

Event LOVE: Blogger Day with @VWCanada
Still one of my favourite cars of all time!
We were invited to the first-ever Volkswagen Canada Blogger Day at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre a couple weeks ago. This was Volkswagen’s way of treating bloggers to let us know just how much they appreciate all our hard work, and it was also an opportunity for them to give us an inside look at the 2013 model line-up. The event started with a yummy breakfast and then we were given the goods on what Volkwagen has in store for the future.
I need you in my life… yesterday!I don’t know much about cars, but I do know that I love and have ALWAYS loved the Beetle. The highlight of the event? Getting to see and feel the new Beetle Fender. It. Is. EVERYTHING, and needs to be mine now. It’s the first car in Europe that can be ordered with a sound system from the guitar and amp makers Fender! Don’t get me started on the dash. The dash comes complete with the chrome-plated Fender logo AND it’s finished in the two-tone ‘Sunburst’ wood design of many of the Fender guitars. It’s awesome-sauce!

We also got a free ticket to the Canadian International Auto Show (which I hear was great, but couldn’t go to cause I was working… *sigh*), AND we also have a chance to test-drive a Volkswagen for the weekend… now to find someone with a license so they can drive me around lol. Any takers?
I wish I could’ve stayed longer, but unfortunately I had to go to work, it was fun times regardless.

ps: If you’re looking into getting a new car, I’d definitely suggest taking any of the Volkswagen cars for a test-drive(s), cause from what I hear and have seen, they are all kinds of awesome!

Event LOVE: #FordBlueTO
Ford Canada, had their annual Blue party a few weeks ago, and even though it was SNOWMAGEDDON outside there was no way were going to miss it. And after last year’s fun times (and great food), we were definitely going to be there. It was a nightmare getting around downtown with all the snow, slush, and angry people, but once you walked into the blue lit hall, all the troubles were soon forgotten. There were shiny brand new cars everywhere, lots of people, and the sweet alluring aroma of good food.
t’was heavenly!I’ll admit that I pretty much parked myself by the food station for the first part of the evening, and got my eat on. After that it was time to socialize, get familiar with the cars, and have a good ole time. We played games, saw a few awesome dance performances, got our hair and nails done, saw the unveiling of the new 2013 Ford Fiesta, and just had an all round awesome time!

Event LOVE: SPACE One Year Anniversary
Last night we attended the one year anniversary of Positive Space at the Positive Space store on King street. For those who don’t know, Positive Space Interiors is a Canadian based designer and manufacturer of premium and custom made furniture. Their products include bedroom and dining room furniture, kitchen tables, and chairs. I always walked past this store while I was at George Brown but never went in, and was pleasantly surprised by the furniture that was on display last night. I. Loved. The. BEDS! I’ve seen beds with storage drawers before, but these ones were so well made, and the storage drawers have loads of space!! Any who, it was a fun evening, I met lots of great people, sipped on chardonnay and snacked on some yummy appetizers. It was a good night!

This weekend was gorgeous and it started with a world of chocolate that would make even Wonka jealous. The 15th Annual Chocolate Show took place and it was a world of chocolate teas, chocolate pretzels, chocolate sculptures and truffles that you cannot chew. Check out the photos from the event!

Samples GALORE.Overall, I think this event was great fun for the family and a good way to get a head start of holiday shopping. The super sugar high hyper kids running around was a bit of a downer for me but the vendors were unique and the samples were delicious.
