    Enter the #SnapDragon @Qualcomm

My first outing with the HeyDoYou crew brought me to a tech event of epic proportions at SIR Stage 37.  Last Thursday night, I attended a Qualcomm event on Manhattan’s west side, surrounded by some of the latest and fastest mobile devices in the tech game thanks to the Snapdragon processor.

If you saw this amazing video Yvonne shared a few days ago, you’re already familiar with the 360° photo booth constructed with over a hundred HTC phones.  Little did I realize I would witness that in all of its glory just a couple days later, break dancers and all!

Still photos barely do this thing justice.  Imagine witnessing that famous scene from the Matrix in person, all captured with mobile phones- all possible thanks to Snapdragon.

Later, we were entertained with a live DJ performance spinning exclusively on Snapdragon-powered tablets.  The interactive demonstration was so cool that even the most timid of tech-nerds was getting down with their bad selves.  Admittedly, I’m one of those nerds.

I was able to play with all kinds of Snapdragon devices in the heart of phones and tablets from LG to HTC and more.  And, if the night couldn’t get any better, there was a photobooth printing flip books– amazing!

    One for the (mini note)Books

Earlier this summer, the buzz about mini notebooks were swirling about in the blogsphere and cyber rumours almost killed a cat. 🙂 yes i was curious about these little machines that let you Facebook, blog and upload pics. YAY. So when my acer aspire 5570 decided the webcam should no longer work, we had a problem. Then dramatically and aquatically, my laptop commited suicide on my bed with a bottle of unclosed water. BOO HOO.

This is where I found myself wandering into BestBuy and picking up the mini notebook affectionately known as acer aspire ONE. Me likey. What’s better, it comes in pink, white, blue, brown. The site says seashell white, sapphire blue, coral pink, golden brown. Perfect for notetaking, emergency blogging and Facebooking! GUESS what, i bought the last one, in blue. It was $400 and change and only 9 inches. YAY. So this is me, portable, mobile, connected+ so chic! There were other netbooks available from HP (almost twice the price), same function. You think I should trade it for the pink one? The blue one is so fitting for fall 🙂

Blackberry, DigiCam, Flip Ultra, acerOne. I’m good to go. No complaints yet! I think its because it really suits my small hands. As you can see its not much bigger than a DVD. I love it! Mobility is number one for me, travelling, sound quality is good, no CD drive only USB, good battery life (6 hrs?) and kinda cute!
