    About OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS

Founded in New York City in 2004, OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS started out as a trade secret: a pro-only range of products available only at the most exclusive industry-only Professional Makeup emporiums. In a time when many cosmetic companies make the claim that their products are “Cruelty Free” simply because Animal Testing has become unfashionable and less cost-effective, OCC felt it was necessary to raise the bar on this issue. We pledge never to use animal-derived ingredients (including Lanolin, Beeswax, Carmine and more) in our products and accessories. Founder David Klasfeld is still directly involved in the formulation of all new products and as a makeup artist himself is sure to always bring the latest trends in colour to the market.   www.occmakeup.com

    Metallurgy by @OCCMakeup

After three years of intensive product development, OCC is proud to introduce a whole new breed of Lip Tar. Infused with state of the art hi-resolution metallic pigments, the unparalleled opacity has gone high-voltage electric with a reflective shimmer finish.

I am so excited for all the Holiday 2012 beauty products. If anyone wants to buy me something for Christmas, a Sephora gift card will do! Thanks 🙂

When I first saw these on Temptalia, I was so excited to try these for myself! I love LIP TAR and I think these colors are so festive and fun. Here are the 6 colors from the Metallurgy Collection.

First up, ICED. This is a metallic white liptar, a PURE WHITE FROST METALLIC. This looks almost like a sheer lilac with the natural pink of my lips. Wearable and oh so innocent.

Triptych is a photography term that means 3 photos that make one. It is the liptar that is a TRUE JEWELRY GOLD METALLIC. You can use a good gold liquid eyeliner as a lipliner for this. I used the Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in Diamond Gold.

Yaoi is probably my fave! It is similar to Nylon and Anime but with a metallic sheen. Perfectly pink pearlescence makes everything better!

Electric Grandma is great for every complexion. A METALLIC SEQUEL TO GRANDMA, a coral that is wearable for the holidays, into spring and probably summer too. Wish I had this for the wedding I went to in September.

Super NSFW is a twist on the classic red. Not Safe For Work but safe for every other occasions like kissing under the mistletoe… The golden speckles in it is not obvious until you wipe the lip tar off your lips. It is described as A METALLIC SEQUEL TO NSFW.

Authentic is the most wearable shade and it is a FULL BRONZE/COPPER METALLIC. This one reminds me of what I rocked in 11th grade when I was trying to be Jenny from the block.

Since its launch in 2009, OCC fans worldwide have been clamoring for a metallic-finish Lip Tar. To match that demand OCC looked to the natural foods movement to find a mineral-derived ingredient to keep the highest-opacity metallic pigments in a luxurious, weightless suspension. The result? A Lip Tar formula that requires even less product than ever before! Remember: a little goes a long, strong way!

PRO TIP: Apply the smallest possible bead of LIP TAR with our Precision Lip Brush for an unparalleled metallic finish in a fully opaque yet lightweight layer of smooth and hydrating lip perfection polish! Want even more shine? Add a thin layer OCC ‘Clear’ Lip Tar, also the perfect primer, overtop of your metallic Lip Tar lip look.

So much fun! The perfect stocking stuffer for the beauty queen in your life.

You can get these at Sephora or on occmakeup.com for $16.

    Metallurgy Liptar from @OCCmakeup

There are new liptars in town and they ready to rock!  Pigmented with a metallic sheen – I don’t know why I am so magnetically attracted to them. I am so interested in trying the Gold, Coral, Pink… All of them basically.

    Pic from Beautylish.com

Just reading through the list, I know that OCC Yaoi Lip Tar is a must and will be my 2nd favorite after Anime.

The Metallurgy collection contains a well-rounded group of likeable and lust-worthy shades including Super NSFW—a gold-sparkling red, Yaoi—a glittering, silver-based Barbie pink, Authentic—a pennywise copper, Triptych—a neutral gold, Iced—an opaque silvery white, and Electric Grandma—a metallic version of their best selling coral shade, our favorite if not for the name alone.

The finish is subtle but reflective with a pearl-like shine and the subtlest hint of glitter, noticeable only if before a kiss under the mistletoe. The shades wear just as long as their matte counterparts and leave behind a light coating of sparkle when wiped away. (repost from Beautylish)

    Can’t wait to try these!

    Creme Colour Concentrate @OccMakeup

Our friends at Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics have been cooking up some goodies – The Creme Colour Concentrate. Perfect for all and a welcomed break from loud neons and too girly pastels.

It is a smooth, blendable, buildable crème coverage product that is suitable for eyes, lips and cheeks. Loaded with emollients and humectants including aloe leaf extrac, coca extract and vitamin E, this goes on smooth and wears like a dream. I am so excited to try this! It retails for $20 for 8g.

    Shades include:

    Miriam

    John Doe

    Cthulu

    Subdued Whitened Plum

    Ash-toned Taupe

    Dirty Pale Olive Green
