    My coolest drop yet…

What a crazy week it’s been so far. It feels more important now than ever to find beauty and joy in the every day, so here are a few of my favorite things this week that I think you’ll love.

“Beautiful” isn’t a word I’ve ever used to describe a pill holder, but these super chic, metallic containers discreetly hold your medicine and look great doing it. They have an awesome story behind them: the designer and founder was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder in high school, and unhappy with the bulky, unattractive pill holders she was stuck with, she decided to find another way. I love the idea of turning a tough moment in your life into something beautiful and positive. They’re super lightweight and made with PVD-finished stainless steel, which has a unique glow.

I haven’t really had a jump rope since elementary school, but I came across this guy, and have started adding all those crossovers and double unders (for those who missed recess, that’s when you get two rope turns in one jump) back into my life. Besides being an excellent, heart-racing addition to my workout routine, it has a cool vintage look with hand-carved wooden handles and a strong leather cord. A fun and healthy throwback activity you can take with you anywhere you go.

Not going to promise that this makes you enjoy doing the dishes, but it does make organizing them a whole lot easier. Like most New Yorkers, I don’t have a dishwasher or much space. I love that this genius dish drainer rack slots securely over the sink, freeing up valuable countertop, while draining water straight into the sink rather than dribbling it onto a tray. It also looks great in white steel with wooden handles that conveniently hold your dishtowels. This one’s definitely a winner.

Herringbone might be my favorite pattern in the colder seasons—it’s cozy, elegant, and looks good with practically anything. This cap from very-cool New York-based designers Qilo contrasts herringbone with suede (another fall favorite!) for a playful yet sophisticated look. I’ve been really surprised at how well it works with everything in my fall wardrobe. PS. The logo references the famous Lao Tzu quote, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”

As the weather changes, my skin has been extra finicky, red, and sensitive, so I decided to try stripping it down to the basics. I’d heard good things from some friends about this organic, biodynamic skincare line and decided to give it a whirl. The simple three-step system includes a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer—like I said, basics!—and is packed with a ton of skin-saving, calming ingredients like chamomile extract, aloe vera, green tea leaf, lavender, and my fave—hyaluronic acid. I’ve been using it for a week, and my skin has calmed down (bye redness!) and feels so supple, balanced, and radiant. As a bonus, the products smell like happiness.

I recently threw out my Spanx (yes, I wear Spanx), because there’s a new slimming superhero in town. Award-winning designer Susan Ledyard created this collection of body-shaping tops, dresses, and leggings using a revolutionary smart fabric and patented technology (seriously, there’s so much science involved, it’s like a NASA operation). And the secret is one magical ingredient: Copper. Copper-infused fabric is clinically proven to improve skin tone and texture, acting as a natural anti-microbial agent to prevent odor, and shape your body like a miracle. You can wear this cami under everything—it smoothes immediately, sucking and lifting you in all the right places without visible lines.

I recently tested out replacing coffee with matcha tea for my daily energy boost. While coffee generally gives me the jitters and has questionable benefits, matcha is high in antioxidants, and boosts memory, increases energy, detoxifies your system, and even burns calories (now you’re listening). I have health-obsessed friends who swear by it, and this beautiful kit has everything you need to start a nourishing new routine.
