Design LOVE: CUTMR 2011
I got a sneak peek of CUTMR 2011 when I attended the press preview event at the Gladstone Hotel in downtown Toronto last Thursday.

Never to disappoint, CUTMR featured unique, yet wonderful designs and installations. I also had a lovely time getting to know some of the designers.
Triptych by Mark McLeanThe exhibition was opened to the public on Friday, and although I wasn’t able to attend on the weekend; I heard lots of people came out and showed the designers some love. Two thumbs up!

Ha! Imagine the Queen working at McDonalds! This is part of Pamila Matharu’s work.
Design by Lubo Brezina and Scott Eunson-This structure was so big I couldn’t take a picture of the whole thing. I think it’s beautiful, and the story behind it is even more beautiful!Another favorite of mine was the De-spaced room by Kira Varvanina, unfortunately it was impossible to take a picture of it.

TIDF 2011
Myself and some of the artists, at last years CUTMR.
The Toronto International Design Festival kicked off on the 24th of this month. I’ve been busy with school and work, so I can’t wait to check out as many of the event and exhibits as I possibly can.
Tonight I get to go to the IDS 11 Opening party, as well as the CUTMR 2011 Press Preview! Exciting!For more info on TIDF 2011, click here.

HeyDoYou x CUTMR 2010
I had thee most AMAZING experience at this year’s CUTMR BIG shout outs to Maya from the Gladstone hotel for inviting me 🙂
I met some great people, and bonded instantly with others. I found some pieces that touched my heart, and look forward to working with many of the people I met.Your city has sooooo much talent Toronto. I only hope that you can take your focus off of what lies across the border, and enjoy the variety of talent Canada has to offer.
