    I Don’t Think You’re Ready… For Korean Jelly

Korean Jelly moisturizer is all the rage! A lot of people mistaken me as Korean already (I am Chinese) but I have never tried Korean beauty products yet. From all my research, I have been going crazy over KBeauty and finally got my first MEMEBOX. I have been looking all over at Memebox and Peach and Lilly for the latest and greatest. With all the options what do you get, where you start and what does it feel like?  Here are 2 Jelly products I tried and LOVE them both. Hope this helps you dive into KBeauty trends with confidence and see how Korean beauty products can switch up your whole routine (for the better)!

    1. Aromatica Damask Rose Soothing Gel $18

You can get this online and I just picked it up at Urban Outfitters. I wanted to use my UO gift card and didn’t have to pay for shipping. It is a Rose Water Gel that is from Korea. It is very very very amazing. I love the texture and how fast it absorbs into my skin. It has a very faint scent of roses and dries quickly. It is almost like a veil and keep my skin ‘tight’ without needing to put on cream again. I know that this is going to be my go-to moisturizer for the summer.  The texture reminds me of aloe vera gel you can get but without the stickiness at all.  Aromatica Damask Rose Soothing Gel conditions and hydrates dry, rough, and irritated skin, leaving it rejuvenated, radiant and soothed. Formulated with 6 different superberry extracts including cranberry, blueberry, pomegranate, strawberry, orange and grape, as well as 95% rose water, this blend provides deep nutrition and moisture to the face an/or body. Great for all skin types.

    2. Secret Key Super Plumping Jelly $19 (on sale)

I got this online from Memebox because it was on sale and the color looks so juicy. I was really excited to try this one. It comes with a little spoon/scoop and the texture is a bit different. It seems a bit more jell-o like and when you scoop it, looks like you took a chunk of it. But quickly it reforms again. It is amazing too and I have been using it as a ‘night cream’. It really doesn’t have a scent at all and I really love it. The texture almost reminds me of when you slice a aloe plant apart and it’s a bit more tight, less liquid.

This special cream has a unique texture which brings abundant moisture to dry and rough skin. As the cream supplies moisture, it also makes the skin firmer and plumper. Not only this plumping cream moisturizes but it also brightens the skin and fights wrinkles as it is a dual functional cream containing Niacinamide and Adenosine. This cream is free from parabens, mineral oil, benzophenone, phenoxyethanol animal oil and alcohol making it safe for sensitive skin.

Niacinamide, Adenosine, Beta Glucan, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Salmon Egg Extract, Fruit and Plant Extracts (Blueberry, Orange, Sweet Almond, Broccoli, Pumpkin)

    How to use:

After your basic skin care routine (day and night), scoop an appropriate amount and gently massage all over the face and neck.

Oil Pulling Made Easy @YogiGuruNanda Ayurvedic Oil

I started doing Oil Pulling about a year ago and with my really strong gag reflex, it has not been easy. The trick is, don’t use too much oil! You will naturally salivate and create more ‘liquid’ in your mouth. If you start with too much oil, you will definitely want to throw up.   But I recently tried the Ayurvedic Oil for oil pulling from Gurunanda and found it easy to use. It is a blend of various oils including peppermint so it doesn’t feel as oily.

Tridosha imbalance is thought by many to cause health problems and disease. Diet, exercise and elimination of toxins are all major factors in finding and maintaining Ayurvedic balance.

GuruNanda lost 40 pounds, lowered his cholesterol and controlled his diabetes with yoga and an Ayurvedic diet rich in vegetables and lean proteins.

Oil pulling is also based on Ayurvedic science. Soon after waking, before eating or brushing teeth, pulling oil is swished around in the mouth and spit out to “pull” bacteria and other toxins from the body. Pulling Oil has long been used to help promote weight loss, better breath, healthier teeth and gums, thicker, more lustrous hair, and radiant skin, with claims increasingly backed by research.

    GuruNanda Pulling Oil

    16.00 fl. Oz. for $29.99

GuruNanda Pulling Oil is a perfectly balanced combination of pure sesame oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil and peppermint oil. Pulling oils are based on 5,000-year-old Ayurvedic science. Soon after waking, before eating or brushing your teeth, you swish this extraordinary oil around your mouth and spit it out to “pull” bacteria and other toxins from your body.

#PlayJScream Korean Ice Cream Truck in NYC

I am so excited that there is a new ice cream truck in town!

It literally opened this weekend and I went twice already. Yay!  Play-J Scream brings Myeongdong to Manhattan!!  So happy that SOMEONE heard my prayers to the snack deity to bring Korean Ice Cream to NYC finally!! (I actually dreamt of Match soft serve) but this is just as good. Opps ate it before I could take a pic. So I had to go back again today with Tai to get 2 and get pics.  Put them together to make a heart!

I was walking in Soho with my dog when I saw a friendly face and holding 2 J shaped corn pop cones with vanilla soft serve. I immediately when to the closed ATM to get $4 cash to get one! I got the double, which is Chocolate on one end and Vanilla on the other. I loved walking down Broadway eating it and so many people was like WHAT is that.

So happy that they are yummy and here for the summer. I am going to stalk them on Instagram everyday to see their location next.

The Baby Keepsake Book and Planner

Mindy Weiss has created the best baby shower gift ever!  The Baby Keepsake Book and Planner is a practical and precious package. It is a ringed binder with pages that can be added or removed. I wanted this for my friend who is about to have a baby so that she and her husband can have a little baby book all the way to the fourth year. This is is a cool book because it knows family comes in all sizes and shapes.

Mindy is a Beverly Hills based event planner who has created experiences for Heidi Klum, Jessica Simpson, Denise Richards!  So you are in good hands.

Here’s an amazing baby book like no other. For one, because The Baby Keepsake Book and Planner is in a binder, it’s completely guilt-free and customizable. Forgot to record baby’s first steps? No matter, just tear out that page. Is your baby adopted? No need to avoid the pages about your birthing experience; instead, add pages about your journey to adoption.
    BSR-baby_shower_logo
Second, it combines the precious and the practical. The binder includes six tabbed dividers with pockets, covering pregnancy through age four. Then inside are 104 full-color pages, including everything from checklists, doctor’s notes, menu planning charts, vaccine and immunization schedule to All About Us, First Feelings, Your Favorite Things, Birthday Party Memories. In addition, there is a plastic pouch for odd-sized memorabilia like a hospital bracelet; ten pages of heavyweight stock to mount photographs and other visual memorabilia; a foldout growth chart (on the underside of the belly band); and a keepsake envelope for a lock of hair.

And third, the binder includes three portable booklets—“Prenatal Doctor’s Visits,” “Nursing Tracker,” and “Pediatrician Visits.”

This perfect baby shower gift is as stylish as it is useful. In the same format as the author’s category-killing Wedding Planner & Organizer, it is inspiring, easy to use, and fun—and will be a memento to hand down from one generation to the next.
