Summer is basically here! It is time to pull out your shorts and your sunscreen. As fun as the sun may be, I know a thing or two about how bad makeup can be in the summer. I worked in the direct heat for over 5 summers and as a makeup enthusiast, I had to learn how to not look like a melting cake every day.

These sheers bloom on contact to bring out your lips’ natural tone. This is a must have for those summer days where you don’t want to go all the way out with the lips.
Face: It Cosmetics You Sculpted This contouring pallet made contouring so much easier and you can use it anywhere on your body. I am smack in the newborn haze, nursing at all hours, staying up with a baby who is wide awake-only to juggle the baby and chase a toddler during the day.
Mother’s day is still very new for me, becoming a mother for the first time in 2014, and now just given birth to my second child at the beginning of April. Plans this year will be low key and mellow at home with lots of toddler energy and newborn cuddles.
There were just a few things I had to set up for baby #2. One of them being a monitor. Honestly it was so easy to set up, I hate to admit that I have yet to read the instructions, but it really is “sleep deprived” set up friendly. while my husband is still on paternity leave, he has been making small gestures daily as mini “Mother’s Day.” My favorite one thus far has been him taking the baby daily from me after the 7am feed, puts her down for a nap, lets me sleep, and preps the meals for the day with the toddler.
Those precious uninterrupted moments of sleep really help, and I will miss them when he is back at work. But for now I am going to cherish them, knowing he has an eye on the little.
