Being environmentally conscious in material choices is a high priority for Nixon. They have done extensive research to find the right partners to help them make quality watch bands out of alternative materials. This sustainable watch band offering comprises three different materials: pineapple leather, #TIDE recycled plastics, and standard recycled plastics. Pineapple leather is a relatively new material made from cellulose fibers extracted from pineapple leaves, PLA, and resin. This PETA-approved, vegan material can do anything natural leather can do, including making beautiful eco-friendly watch straps.
The second is their #TIDE recycled plastic nylon. For this watch band material, they exclusively use plastic waste destined to wind up in the ocean. By partnering with local seaside recycling programs, Nixon can get the material needed to make stylish and durable recycled watch bands while keeping our ocean playground cleaner. Finally, Nixon uses standard RPET (recycled plastic) for other nylon watch straps. While the raw, recycled material comes from a broader range of sources, it still reduces their watch bands’ environmental impact. Seeds have everything they need to sprout. All they do is give them the right environment and pure clean water.
At Jonathan’s Sprouts, they research and purchase the highest quality seeds available. All seeds are tested before they enter their facility to make sure they meet their safety standards.
Over the last three decades, Jonathan Sprouts has worked to create the perfect growing environment for each type of sprout. The seeds are placed in an ideal environment and watered on a specific schedule to promote best sprouting.
Jonathan Sprouts tests each batch of sprouts after two days, sampling the spent irrigation water for food safety. Jonathan Sprouts monitors the sprouts until they are ready to be harvested. They are then tested again for quality and shelf life. If they meet the rigorous standards, they are packaged for delivery and shipped to the retail partners.

pip & grow Launches All-New “Mindful Method for Sleep” Program for Babies
Two Data-Driven Courses Emphasize Mindfulness to Lower Stress and Improve Sleep for the Whole Family
Known by parents around the world for its safe, simple, and sustainable baby boxes, pip & grow today announced the next phase of its mission to provide families with safe, restful sleep with the release of its Mindful Method for Sleep program. Created by infant sleep, infant health, and health communication experts, pip & grow’s two data-driven courses are backed by science and use mindfulness to calm parents and caregivers, which in turn, reduces baby’s stress and improves sleep.
“Babies are wired to wake up every couple of hours when they’re born, but there are things that parents can do to encourage baby to sleep in longer stretches,” said Amber Kroeker, MPH, Infant Safety Expert, and Co-Founder, pip & grow. “One of the most important things for parents is to remain calm and be mindful that baby can sense your anxiety and stress.
