    @RoyalLangnickel Brushes

    Continuing my IMATS haul, my absolute happiest and most exciting things I got are from @RoyalLangnickel 🙂 During their pre-IMATS media event, they shared with us lots about their new brushes and brush sets (which you can read about in my previous post about them.) In our lovely goody bags, they gave us the best gifts ever. Best thing you could ever give a makeup enthusiast… A GORGEOUS BRUSH SET! After they raved about their amazing new brushes made of  high quality natural and synthetic hairs, they gave us each a brush set of our own 🙂

    All 11 brushes that came in the set come from their new pro line, SILK. Best part is that all these brushes were put together into a exclusive limited edition set by Kevin James Bennett and by exclusive I mean this set of brushes won’t be available anymore. They were only given to those that attended the event!

    As if that wasn’t enough, while I was looking through the super crowded booth at IMATS, the amazing people at the Royal & Langnickel gave me ANOTHER brush set! I couldn’t find the synthetic flat top brush I was dying to get (because they had run out already by then) and the wonderfully generous Michael from Royal & Langnickel and Kevin James Bennett gave me their SILK Pro 25 piece Brush Set. I remember asking them “Are you sure you want to give me this entire set?! (which a gigantic smile/surprised look on my face)” and Kevin saying “Don’t question it! You should run with it when someone hands you something great like this!” Hahaha 🙂

    I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this set! It comes with all the brushes I consider necessities and pretty much any brush I would ever really need. I’ve been breaking in my brushes since I got them and I absolutely love how high qualities the bristles are and the types of brushes they put in this set. My favorites have to be the synthetic flat top (foundation) brush which I use to many more things than just foundation, both the powder and blush brushes, the lash comb, and the pencil brushes! I think this is my newest most favorite prized possession! Luckiest girl ever right? To leave IMATS with not just one but two fabulous brush sets 🙂

    Whether you’re a makeup lover or a makeup artist, they have great brushes for everyone! One thing I love is that they have QR codes on every brush now! These QR codes will take you to a page that will give you info about the brush and how-tos. How great is that!

    They also have a new line of Silk Pro Greenline which are made with bamboo handles making them eco-friendly!

    Make sure you check out Royal & Langnickel’s brushes and their new website for yourself! Follow them on Twitter @RoyalLangnickel!

    Sigma Beauty NEW Dare Bare Flare Shadow Palettes

    During IMATS LA, @Sigma_Beauty gave away sample eyeshadow palettes from their new eyeshadow palettes collection, Dare, Bare, and Flare. The sample palette I received at IMATS had one color from each palette: Reveal from the Dare palette, Act from the Bare palette, and Oversee from the Flare palette.

    Reveal, Act, and Oversee (left to right)

    All colors basically describe each palette it comes in. I was pretty surprised to find that all three colors were pretty pigmented and showed up well over some eye primer. The shadows in this palette give you a satin finish but their large, retail palettes come in satin and matte shadows. I liked that they could be used dry or wet depending on how opaque you want it to be. Each palette has eight colors that let you go from day to night and include a double-sided Short Shader brush and Small Tapered Blending brush.

    Just wanted to test out the colors really quick and this is what I came up with. Act all over the lid, Oversee on the outer corner and lower lashes, and Reveal over the liner towards the outer corner. The colors aren’t super intense because I didn’t want to overdo it since I was just going to a simple dinner with my family tonight but the colors are pretty.

    From trying colors at their booth, the lighter, matte colors didn’t really show up as much as the satiny ones. I do like the colors for the most part that come in the palettes although there isn’t too much variety in the bold color department. I’m guessing their selection will grow over time and as their fan base grows. I kind of wish they would put more colors into the palettes rather than so many bland colors. I feel like I have a gazillion taupes, browns, and beiges whether in single pans or in palettes it would be nice to not have half the palette be so “vanilla.”

    This is definitely a combo of colors I’m considering wearing for 4th of July 🙂 Make sure you check out Sigma’s palettes!

    Royal & Langnickel Event – IMATS Weekend

    This afternoon the @RoyalLangnickel media event kicked off the festivities of IMATS this weekend! The “royal treatment” filled afternoon at the Sheraton in Pasadena included makeovers by @Glamcor, manicures, super yummy snacks and cupcakes, and a lovely presentation by Royal & Langnickel brushes.

    Royal & Langnickel have just revamped their website to include a pro section (members only) where you can create your own account and find tutorials, tips and tricks, updates, and much more. Make sure you sign up on their site!

    At IMATS this weekend, they will be launching their newest, most innovative brush collection, SILK. Royal & Langnickel produces brushes of high quality and great craftsmanship. They “don’t slap their name on just any brushes” as said by Kevin James Bennett, Makeup guru and “product junkie”, who was speaking at the event explained. The people at Royal brushes are creating brushes that work for the everyday makeup lover to pros… paving the way for the future of all makeup brushes! I thought it was so cool that they’ve added QR codes to their the packaging of the brushes that’ll take to you a how-to and give you info on each brush! How convenient is that!
