One of my favorite social media case studies ever! This indie brand has catapulted into the major leagues by the sheer force of social media. Started by Lolita Goth Blogger as a physical manifestation of her dreams of unicorns and sparkles. Meeting her at SpaceNK in New York and hearing her talk about how her dreams became reality was both inspiring and awesome.
Her online fan base was more than ready for these products to launch that it was a no-brainer to get this beauty line off the ground.

Changes…Classic Red to Smokey Dark Lips @MacCosmetics

I’ve always, ALWAYS worn red lipstick, some might say that I live in red lipstick. Wake up in the morning, brush my teeth, put on red lipstick. Going to the doctor? Red lipstick. Going to the gym? Red lipstick. You catch my point. In the rare occasssion that I’m not wearing red lipstick, I might be wearing a shade of pink… bright pink. However, I seem to have lost the “love” I had for red lipstick… it doesn’t give me that warm happy feeling anymore. I’m not sure if it’s the change in season, or because I’ve made some major changes in my life, but I just don’t feel the same way about it anymore. My new love? A dark lip, ooh yes, I loves me a dark sexy lip.

I used to stay away from dark lipsticks cause I thought they made me look me mean, and I found that anytime I attempted to wear a dark lipstick, my mood changed… and not for the better.
Next attempt, totally happy 🙂
However, things done changed, and now I can’t get enough of wearing dark lipstick. There’s something strong and sexy about it, and I totally dig it!
My new FAVES! I call them Kate (left- from the Kate Moss Lipstick Collection by Rimmel) and Smokey (right- by MAC) 🙂
