    BuffaLO-VE Newbie!

Hello world! My name is Jacqueline Wong and I am a new intern for Socially Bella. I’m from Upstate NY (New Paltz/Poughkeepsie area), but am currently in Buffalo, NY. I love cosmetics, although I don’t wear a lot! I also absolutely looove to travel…I’ve lived in London for 4 months studying abroad and doing an internship. I’ve been to Ireland, Scotland, France, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, and my native country, China. I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people!

On my free time I enjoy shopping, hanging out with friends, watching movies, spending time with my boyfriend, watching sports (I’m a basketball and a recent football fan), acting like a kid even though I’m almost 23, and last but not least, eating and trying new foods! 🙂

I hope to show everyone new trends, ideas, products, things to do, etc. I always encourage trying something new, doing something not in your comfort zone, and thinking outside the box!

Enjoy the rest of your day and take a peek at what I already wrote on Lime Crime Makeup.

Of course, a special thanks to the beautiful Yvonne Kai for giving me this opportunity!

Don’t hesitate to contact me to ask any questions, give me advice, or to just say hii ! <3

    Event LOVE: Coty x Philosophy

I had so much fun at the Coty x philosophy event yesterday. Of course this is no surprise, as I absolutely adore the Coty Inc. ladies, and always have an excellent time with them.

Before the event, my knowledge about philosophy was very limited. I knew they specialized in bath and body products, but I had no idea that they are MAJOR players in the skincare game! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised, and totally impressed by their commitment to giving customers quality products that offer proven results; as well as inspire, and make them feel good at the time.  I love the stories behind this amazing brand, and it’s safe to say that I am officially a “philosophy girl.”

Thank you so much to the Coty Inc team for inviting us, and to Robin White (Director of International & Global Press- philosophy) for the lovely stories, and for giving us the 4-1-1 on philosophy… oh and for the awesome swag!

    peace and love

    Event LOVE: Spirit of Dance

On Monday evening we joined Tré  Armstrong at The Spoke Club to celebrate the launch of the Tre Armstrong Give Back Foundation; a not-for-profit operating foundation. Despite the on and off drizzles, tons of people gathered on The Spoke Club patio to show their support for Tre. We were treated to yummy appetizers, drinks, a Just Dance station, and some live performances.

“The foundation will focus on developing life skills through enjoyable youth programming and performing arts at the community level alongside educational classes and seminars, promoting continued learning along with the development of key life and social skills.”

Thank you so much to Tré Armstrong for inviting us!

    peace and love

    7 Things to Do Today

Let’s relax ladies and gents, and actually not worrying about the minimal things today. Let’s ‘forget’ about these things today.

    1. Saying YES when you actually mean NO. – Say NO today. Do IT. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (such empowerment)

    2. Slouching. Ladies and Gents stand up tall and strengthen your core muscles. Do not slouch anywhere, not even on the toilet or sitting on your bed.

    3. Rolling Your Eyes. This is a big one for me, as I get annoyed easily. What can I say, I’m an aries. *shrugs*. Don’t roll your eyes at me.

    4. Texting, emailing, bbming. PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE AND CALL THE PERSON! BETTER YET GO TO THEIR PLACE AND SEE THEM FACE TO FACE!!! Damn technology.

    5. The headphones that block out the entire WORLD! Talk to someone on the train, bus, or on the street. Hey you never know that person can become your best friend.!!!!

    6. Processed food.  Try to get on a health kick, and DO IT .. NOW !!!

    7. Procrastinating. Start planning things and get them done. Get a great friend who will push you to accomplish this.

What other things are on your to do list for today??

@nyigf RECAP: The New York International Gift Fair

After a very rainy week, there was finally a sunny day yesterday!

We headed down to the Javits Center to see all that is new in gift, home and lifestyle products.  This show was HUGE.  We were able to hit Pier 94, the 3000’s and the 7000’s. It was crazy. I am sad that I missed the baby and the jewelry sections but I had a lot of fun and met some amazing vendors!

I will be highlighting some of my favorite products in upcoming posts but here is a sneak peek!
