@GossipGirl Recap: I Am Number Nine

The most exciting part of tonight’s episode is Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester)’s selection of her royal bridesmaids. Recruiting her “former minions” for an impromptu bridal booty-camp, the girls race to pin a dress, fight the paparazzi all without spilling a glass of champagne. Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) joins the contest so she can cover the royal wedding, but it turns out the deal-breaker is scoring a kiss with the noted bachelor Nate Archibald (Chase Crawford) at the launch party for the NY Spectator.

Not only does Nate find out that his office lover Diana (Elizabeth Hurley) not been seeing another guy for the last two months, she’s also bringing him to the party! Ouch. But please, don’t fall for Charlie. This Ivy girl needs to get out! Is anyone else sick of her yet? Even Vanessa (Jessica Szhor), as horrible as she was, wasn’t as annoying. I can’t believe she not only got to kiss Chase Crawford but now she gets to be a part of the royal bridal party. Apparently all women are the same and get jealous when they see another woman with her man. Diana and Nate officially declare their relationship on NY Spectator and Diana gives Charlie a nasty warning.

On another note, Dan (Penn Badgley)’s literary movie is on the rocks, obviously, as long as Serena (Blake Lively) has anything to do with it. She convinces him to drop the rights, but once she does she finds out her boss plans to make a movie on Dan as a guy who betrays his friends for fame (undoubtedly the better part of the story). “Inside will be the next Social Network. We’re gonna Zuckerberg him.”

Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) is messing with Chuck (Ed Westwick)’s therapist, trying to pay her to force him into a rage to remind Blair that she made the right choice. I understand that he feels threatened, but he’s already won. They’ve both already won, yet they’re still fighting to be together. This is going to be the wedding of the century and still they’re just trying to prove to each other that they’re the one for each other.

Chuck appears at Blair’s place one last time to say good-bye, with the most heartfelt words I’ve ever heard him speak. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I loved you when I knew I did. Most of all I’m sorry that I gave up on us and you never did.” After looking at the darker, scheming and hopelessly self conscious Prince Louis tonight, Chuck doesn’t look so bad right now. I’ve given up on the Blair/Dan situation, but I’m not believing in the fairy tale anymore.

    @PanAmABC Recap: Romance Languages

With a title like ‘Romance Languages’ you know things are heating up tonight. Hello, hot stuff! Check out Laura (Margot Robbie)’s new boy toy, Joe (Gaius Charles), a navy boy, all dressed in white and everything. But sticking to the ways of the past, Joe gets knocked out in broad day-light for holding Laura’s hand. Is Laura going to defend him or just let him go and accept things for the way they are?

Well, we are dealing with a new breed of women. As Laura says, “It isn’t right that when you tried to kiss me that I cared what other people would think. It isn’t right that when I went to bed last night I locked my door. It isn’t right that when the super told me to kick you out I did.” I mean, who can say no to Joe sitting on your couch with his shirt off? She’s definitely surprising me with her random bursts of courage and determination. Maybe she isn’t such a blond bimbo after all.

Then there’s a rocky path with Kate (Kelli Garner) and her beau Niko (Goran Visnjic)’s love affair. Niko gets ambushed in her apartment and he’s sent to the secret agency to discuss joining the team in Yugoslavia.  “I can’t tell, are you just a silly, naive girl, or are you a master liar?” Both. But more importantly, Kate’s in dangerous love with this guy. The show ends with an incredibly uncomfortable, heart-felt good-bye between Kate and Niko at the airport. Kate’s going around-the-world and Niko back to Yugoslavia. Is this the end of their romantic journey?

Oh yeah, and Collette (Karine Varnasse) gets to fly the plane with Dean (Mike Vogel)’s supervision while the rest of the plane is going crazy with a bunch of partying sailors that haven’t been above water in six months. Too bad for Ginny (Erin Cummings), it looks like Dean’s cleaning up that mess. Let’s hope she doesn’t pop up anymore in any upcoming flights.

    Taking off, @missamandachen

I was up gettn this tattoo done at like 5 in the morning, they will tell you all that i cried like a little girl while i got it done, but i think i did great ;0) lol.

The tattoo symbolizes ‘Girls With Flair!’, so i chose to get a silhouette of a womans face with her hair going straght back. As you can see, the colors get firey as it go towards the back, that’s the part that represent the flair! :0)

@TheWorkbook & Art Directors Club @adcglobal Creative Circus

Workbook and Art Directors Club brought art to life last week with its inaugural Creative Circus.  100 artists and photographers feverishly snapped, sketched and painted burlesque performers as guests witnessed this living gallery, served by some of the fiercest cross-dressers I’ve seen!

The Art Directors Club is a concentrated group of creative talent and a gathering place for leaders in visual communication.  It was formed in 1920 by Louis Pedlar as a way to unite colleagues in the advertising, to dignify their profession, and judge advertising art by the same standards as fine art.

Workbook is dedicated to providing the creative community premium sourcebooks and a website with comprehensive features and resources for finding top talent and services.

All of the art was available for purchase, hot off the easel!

Here are some of the sights and scenes from the evening…

Yes, that’s a real nail, and yes, her’s really hammering it up his nostril!!

This was pretty cool…when you take a photo head on of on at the floor/wall mural, it creates a 3-day effect.

    kisses, Olisa

RGB Cosmetics Nail Polish in Camel

RGB Nail Polish in Camelphoto cred: blog.needsupply.com

I wanted to do a quick post on the @rgbcosmetics nail polish in Camel I picked up in my Beautylish’s Beauty Social swag bag a few weekends ago. I’ve been so obsessed with nudes, tans, and browns on my nails lately. I didn’t look at the name when I first put the polish on and I was trying to figure out how I would describe the color until I looked and saw it’s name is Camel. The color really does remind me of a camel. It’s almost like a warm beige foundation color.

    RGB Nail Polish in Camel

I put on two colors like I would any other color. Base coat before and top coat after. The color comes out a hair darker than it looks in the bottle because I did apply two coats. This is the first RGB polish I’ve ever tried. I’m a new fan. If you don’t know already from a post I did a while back I’m rebuilding my nail polish collection because of an unfortunately incident. Definitely going to get more colors ASAP!

    Their polishes are listed as:

“No Formaldehyde, No Toluene, No DBP,
    No Formaldehyde Resin, No Camphor
    Made in the USA
    Cruelty Free”

You can purchase your own Camel polish or any other RGB nail polish on their website. Polishes are $16 a bottle. A bit pricey but their color selection is fabulous.

    xo, June 🙂
