Super Excited for @CRMWineFoodFest
Last night I attended the press preview for the very first Cancun – Riviera Maya Food Fest. This event is happening on March 15-18, 2012 and it is going to be EPIC. This is a 4 day event filled with wine of every region, 25 international gourmet chefs cooking up a storm and cultural tours and cruises to rediscover Mexico.

David Amar, Festival Founder and CEOOver 30 celebrity chefs from 7 countries will hold a Tribute to Mexican Cuisine, demonstrating their signature dish but using native ingredients found across Mexico’s rich gastronomy regions, whose roots include Maya, Caribbean, European and Mexican culinary traditions; each dish will also be paired with outstanding 90+wines for the delight of epicureans around the world. A Mexican Top Chef will be recognized for his outstanding contributions to the new world of Mexican gastronomy.

Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) knows he’s losing the part of Tony to his panty-dropping boyfriend Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss), so he’s set on becoming school president and completely taking-in his special unicorn-ness. Too bad Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris) is running against him in the attempt to be the first female president. Don’t underestimate a woman that knows how to move. She kills it with Beyonce’s Run The World in a cheer-leader outfit. Can this be any hotter?
Moreover, we finally get to hear Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) sing! He got an A- on his last Chemistry test and his dad is getting involved, saying the this is equivalent to an F in Asian terms and that his son must be doing drugs or getting distracted with his girlfriend Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz). After watching Quinn Fabray’s (Dianna Agron) pink hair situation, we’re glad Mike stays true to himself.
We also get to meet Emma’s parents. Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) decides to invite Emma’s ‘ginger supremist’ parents to dinner in an attempt to show that he’s marriage material. Too bad the real reason Emma was avoiding this was because she was embarrassed of her parents. If my parents called me ‘freaky-deaky’ for being OCD I’d resent them too!
Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley), on the other hand, is about to fall out of the group. She’s not participating in the Booty Camp dance lessons and she’s got some real beef with Rachel. (Weird that she’s starting to act like this over the new influence of her boyfriend). In a way, Rachel Barry (Lea Michele) deserves what she’s getting when Mercedes decides to go full throttle for the role of Maria in the school play. “You know what Rachel, hug me after I get the part.” They have a face-off as they always do, and Rachel admits to Finn that Mercedes was better. Regardless, the judges call it a tie and want to split the role. Mercedes won’t share the spotlight this time and walks out of New Directions for good.

@GossipGirl Recap: Beauty and The Feast
Tonight’s episode is really juicy. Not only do we know for sure that Blair is pregnant, we also learn that Blair’s unsure about the baby daddy. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) goes to Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) for help on finding Vanessa’s publisher and the two continue their little feud over Blair. Dan might have got the last kiss, but Chuck went all the way. No wonder he’s in so much pain these days. In fact, he’s in so much pain he can’t feel anything anymore. Poor Chuck! “Is being dead that much worse than being nothing?” As much as I desperately want to see Chuck and Blair back together, I have a feeling Dan has a better chance. Prince Louis, on the other hand, is totally in the dark (as usual).
Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) won’t let her cousin Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) out of her sight while she’s in LA. She decides she wants to be roommates and puts a down payment on a new apartment for the two of them. It looks like Charlie’s returning to the Upper East Side. She says good-bye to LA, her boyfriend Max and her life as Ivy, for good.
Nate Archibald (Chase Crawford) continues with his random obsession over the girl from LA that wants an interview with his mom. We still don’t know much behind all of that and it really isn’t all that interesting to begin with. As if he hasn’t had enough trouble with random unwelcome strangers entering his bedroom (think Juliet Sharp (Katie Cassidy) from season 4 that’s really only looking to get even with Serena).
Prince Louis’ sister Beatrice (Roxane Mesquida) comes to town trying to dig out some dirt on Blair. She’s convinced Blair is bulimic, which is something she’s battled with before. Dan and Louis don’t think much of it, but want to help her. In an obvious hormonal imbalance, Blair yells, “I don’t need help. I’m not bulimic, I’m pregnant!” What’s weird is Beatrice doesn’t reveal this to Louis. Who would have thought she’d be hooking up with the pastor preparing for a way bigger scandal all to prove to her mother that she’s the better choice for the throne of Monaco.
The episode closes with Blair visiting Dan again for moral support. Worried about losing everything, the fantastic man that just happens to be a prince, Dan says, “You’ll still have me.” Can they just get married already?
