Since then, I have been trying to download everyone’s mixtape- especially this little pint size woman. PG is a bad chick, literally. She can rap like Nicki Minaj and sing like Alicia Keys. The girl is off the hook. (lol, and I don’t say that often).

Canada Rocks for JAPAN
We are all aware of the chaos that is going on in Japan right now, and our prayers and love go out to all of those affected by the earthquake.
Adrian Pizzoferrato and some of his colleagues are putting together a benefit concert this April 14th, to raise money for the thousands affected by the earthquake. The concert will take place at The Sound Academy who have kindly donated the venue at no charge. I hear there is going to be an all-star cast of Canadian musicians that promise to put on a fantastic show!
I applaud everyone that is involved in this project for showing your love and support for the people affected by the earthquake.
Adrian shared a video for a song that was written, produced and performed by Tuzzy (pronounced 2Z), one of the artists that will be performing at the benefit concert.

Toronto MC- Peter JacksonPeter Jackson is a Toronto-based MC, is today’s Music eh! feature. and he recently premiered his new music video for “Miss Right” featuring Sizzla Kalonji. This is the first song I’ve heard from Peter Jackson, and it’s definitely made a good impression on me. His delivery is smooth and almost hypnotic… Sizzla is always on point, so this was definitely a good collabo. I think they did an awesome job on the video, and the ending is too funny. lolI dig it.Have you heard of Peter Jackson before? Any favourite tracks by him? What do you think of his new song/video?

Music eh! Birthday Boys
They are known as Ontario’s best kept secret and they will be taking their “enraging and visceral” live performance on the road (alongside Detroit’s Electric Six) this March. The Birthday Boys are also releasing the Tin Head EP, which is said to be a feast for the ears. The EP features some of the band’s most lively recordings to date, with songs like “Daughters Man” which you just can’t help but sing along too.
The band will also be filming a 10 webisode rockumentary for TruthExplosion.com during their Western Canadian tour; filming one webisode a day. The last time the Birthday Boys were on tour, they recorded 30 songs in 30 days! This year the rockumentary will be based on the band’s various adventures while they’re on the road, and just so you can see what the guys are up to; the webisodes will be available for your viewing pleasure on TruthExplosion.com

Music eh! On my own preview
I met SOUL last summer, and we hit it off immediately. Such a cool guy, so funny, and totally talented. I was so impressed by how passionate he was about his craft, and his unwillingness to be grouped into any categories as far as producing music goes, that I had to interview him. We got to listen to some of his work, as well as find out a little bit about what makes the man that is SOUL tick. Which is why I was so excited to get some of his new work in my inbox this weekend.
“On my own” is Vancouver-based rapper LAZE-E’s first single off the LAZE-E’s-MUGGER Therapy mixtape which is set to be released soon. The track features JRDN, and was produced by Mr. SOUL himself. We only get to hear a little bit of the song, but by the sound of it; SOUL definitely didn’t disappoint, and neither did LAZE-E or JRDN. I think this was a great collaboration, a very nice mix of talents, can’t wait to hear the whole song! Canada, you make me so proud.
