Seasons change and our environment changes with them. There’s a beautiful shift a couple of times a year where everything we’ve gotten used to gets a fresh twist. Accordingly, us ladies should pamper ourselves with corresponding beauty and health routines.

During the year, kids don’t have it easy while they’re in school which makes them want to make the best of their holidays in order to be mentally and physically ready for a new school season. It’s not just school kids though, working women are constantly learning too, and growing both personally and professionally. At the end of the day, it’s the same process seen from different perspectives and with different responsibilities.

Although happy to make their youngsters carefree, moms tend to put too much weight on their shoulders while making sure the kids’ routines are taken care of. Health checks, bedtime-school balance, making sure they eat right, getting school supplies, buying clothes… and a couple of extra surprises to minimize the stress kids feel – that often leaves moms with no time for self-care they need just as much. Since season shift isn’t only relevant for kids, moms should treat themselves to cozy, elegant and warm sweaters and other season clothing for all occasions; or drive somewhere to a spa session after they’ve dropped kiddos home from school. In all that chaos, moms need to pay attention to their own needs, as well.

A working woman, whatever her background; needs a tidy plan on how to juggle her needs and responsibilities, so that both career and personal life are in a healthy balance at all times, no matter the season. The Art of Mastering The Perfect Blowout
It is time to drop your weekly hair appointment to the salon, and pick up the blow dryer yourself! You know what they say, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Okay so maybe it’s not that big of a deal, but what if your favorite hair dresser is on vacation and you have an important date? It wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep these skills in your pocket for a rainy day. Mastering the perfect blowout isn’t as hard as you think. Check out my tips below!
The perfect blowout starts in the shower with a shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for your hair. I have fine and frizzy hair so I like to use sulfate-free shampoos. My personal favorites are the Moroccan Oil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. The gentle hydrating shampoo and conditioner has antioxidant argon oil & replenishing nutrients to help cleanse & hydrate dehydrated hair. Make sure to get all the product out of your hair to make sure you have a long-lasting blowout. The conditioner leaves an oily residue in your hair that makes your blowout look greasy.

Apply a heat protecting spray to damp clean hair to avoid damaging your hair when using the dryer. I love the TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave‑In Spray. I have used this spray since High School when I flat-ironed my hair daily *cringe*. You can get it at Target for $4 and it works just as well as any fancy brand.

Next up, divide the hair into small sections. I divide my hair into 5 sections because my arm gets tired quite fast( I really need to hit the gym) and my hair is very thin making it easier to dry. There is no magic number for how many sections you can have but stick to working with a small amount of hair at a time to make sure that the hair is properly dried.

Start in the back of your head and using a large round brush wrap the hair around the brush. Start drying your hair with the brush vertically. Make sure the blow dryer isn’t directly touching your hair to avoid damaging your strands. Take your time with each section and add volume by putting the brush under the hair at the crown of your head. Twirl hair away from your face for that desired bouncy effect.

If you haven’t heard of HBO’s Game of Thrones yet, I don’t know what rock in bikini bottom you’ve been living under. Just this past Sunday alone the show pulled in a total audience of 13.64 million viewers. That’s more people than the population of New York City and Los Angeles combined! Based off George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire”, the show takes you through every single emotion possibly imagined. The costumes are also pretty incredible! One of my favorite parts of the show is how fan favorite, Daenerys Targaryen, has a new outfit for literally every situation. The queen is truly ready for anything! I mean did you see her snow queen outfit this past week?! Elsa who? From her draped dresses to her sexiest fits, Here are some of her best looks throughout the Game of Thrones series!

Fashion Bloggers’ Favorite Pieces This Spring
It seems that, over the past few years, fashion became less a product of what fashion designers and streetwear retailers serve us and more of a product of social media, fashion influencers, such as fashion bloggers and off-duty supermodels. In fact, fashion industry recognized the potential of this change and started giving the influencers a chance to be the first ones to try on their new products. This shift brought a mini revolution in fashion game – it made it more open to experiments, recycling old styles, and creating edgy moments. And since spring is usually the most fashionable season of them all, here’s what bloggers hide in their wardrobes right now.
Slip dress
Straight back from the ‘90s grunge, slip dresses came back to the fashion scene and became one of the fashion bloggers’ favorite trends. Silk, satin, and plush are the materials to look for but when it comes to combining it with the rest of your wardrobe – possibilities are endless. Since they usually have straps, you’ll probably need something underneath or over it for a chilly spring evening. Plain white tee or denim jacket are nice options but feel free to play with it a bit.
Graphic tees
No matter what they say, you’re never too old to wear a good graphic tee, especially if the message it carries is powerful. The beauty of styling it comes from the fact that it can be such a versatile piece. For example, if you want to break down the seriousness of a simple blazer then wearing a graphic tee underneath is a must. On the other hand, they match marvelously with skirts, jeans, and shorts and can be a good base for every day-to-night outfit.
Power suit
Completely different from graphic tees but equally necessary in every fashion aficionado’s wardrobe, at least one power suit is something you simply must have. You don’t even have to buy the one that’s already been matched – you can make your own by pairing a nice blazer and a pair of cigarette trousers. The best thing about wearing suits is the elegant yet powerful look you can achieve without putting too much effort. As for the shoes, flat strappy sandals or any platform type of footwear are more than welcome.
Ankle boots
Ankle boots are one of those pieces everyone should have in their closet. Not only are they versatile but also comfy (if you choose the right heel) and bring a dose of nonchalance to every outfit. Denim skirt
It’s impossible to take a look at the ‘70s fashion and not notice denim skirts as one of the fashion staples of the era. Luckily, this wonderful trend found its way to the present day and now all fashion bloggers have at least one in their closets. Mini, pencil, or midi – the choice for length is all yours. If you’re worried you’re going to look like a high school girl wearing a mini denim skirt the trick is to pair with flats or low-heeled shoes. Ballet flats or sandals might be your best ally if you want to rock a mini denim skirt like an adult.
The best thing about bloggers, not fashion shows dictating trends is that all of these pieces are pretty wearable and adjustable to any style. So, if you want to look trendy this spring, make sure you incorporate some of these into your wardrobe and make a fashion statement.
