Winter Care Tips: Protect Your Shoes
Winter can be tough on your leather shoes. I find myself replacing boots annually and tossing some one my favorite shoes after the season changes. I recently went on a hunt for an alternative to this problem and I saw a lot of articles online about this product called Galoshes. Galoshes are a type of rubber boot that is slipped over shoes to keep them from getting muddy or wet. One brand that people seemed to be obsessed with is SWIMS. SWIMS is a apparel company that developed the modern Galosh. The stylish solution to bad weather embodied the essence of practicality: Wear your favorite shoes, slip on SWIMS when the weather is rough, slip’em off when you arrive at your destination. I was lucky enough to try a pair for myself!
SWIMS Galoshes:
- Intelligent fit and great stretch
- Low friction when slipping on and off
- Durable and flexible
- TPU outer shell
- Unique inner lining and insulation
- Better grip on slippery surfaces
- Shock-absorbing heel
- Tear-resistant
- Waterproof
On the real, it not the cutest accessory but it gets the job done! You can wear your favorite leather shoes regardless of the weather and expect them to be in pristine condition once you slip off your Galosh. It protects your shoes against any weather to come and they are easy to carry. The New York City weather is very unpredictable, so I definitely suggest throwing a pair in your bag! Check out their product line for more great weather friendly products and amazing styles.

@Mujjo Leather Touch Screen Gloves
The world’s first, leather crochet touchscreen gloves. Mujjo has done it again! The amazing design combines beautiful leather with crocheted cotton. The entire glove is lined with cashmere from the grasslands of Inner Mongolia. The lightweight cashmere known for its fine texture makes the gloves soft to touch and offers excellent insulation properties. These gloves are smooth and feels warm – A perfect combination of soft tones and intense color.
The gloves are made out of a well-considered combination of Ethiopian lambskin leather and crocheted Egyptian cotton. The crochet pattern on the top creates a deliberate and powerful contrast with leather on the palm of the gloves while sleek lines and uniform dark tones amplify harmony. Nanotechnology integrated into the leather of the gloves mimics the conductive properties of the human skin; this makes the gloves touchscreen compatible.

Event LOVE: Krane A/W13 Presentation @kranedesign
We attended the Krane A/W2013 Presentation last week over at Soho House, and it was fabulous! Even though the room was PACKED, it was still nice and intimate and the collection was everything. I’m usually not drawn to dark colours, but I was in love with the attention to detail in all the pieces. The coats were amazing, there was loads of leathery goodness and the sweaters with the woven leather???? Oh. My. Gawd. YES! And the bags? I need ALL the bags. Everything was AMAZING. After the presentation, I sipped on the signature cocktails and caught up with all the fashionistas in the room 🙂
I know this is a men’s line, but I dig all these coats!
The man of the hour!
Holy photo bomb! lol
Congratulations to Ken Chow on the collection, and thank you for inviting us!
peace and love
