NAILS BY KISS – alice + olivia NYFW SS20

alice + olivia’s Spring/Summer 2020 presentation is a modern bohemian field of dreams. At this season’s show, designer Stacey Bendet’s fashion dreamscape unfolded in a series of nine transportive sets, each revealing a realm of the SS20 collection. In each brightly hued world, colors converse in a sherberty palette, inspiring elevated fashion right down to the fingertips.

“When the colors are right in a space, you exhale and tune into your own interior. I dream in color and these rooms are fashion dreams come to life,” Stacey Bendet noted about this season’s show.

Lead Manicurist for KISS Products, Inc., Gina Edwards created nail looks inspired by the lilac saturated florals and blooming pink clouds of the SS20 presentation using KISS Glam Fantasy Nails and KISS Salon Acrylic French Nude Nails. Accents were handcrafted using KISS Nail Art Paints in Lilac and White and KISS Salon Secrets Nail Art Starter Kit.

”I instantly felt transported to a dream land while creating looks for alice + olivia’s Spring 2020 Collection,” said Gina Edwards. “ I wanted to celebrate the fantasy feel of the collection with a fresh, whimsical take on classic nails.”

    About KISS:

A Korean-American company headquartered in New York, KISS takes great pride in being a global leader in professional quality beauty products and treatments, with brands available in over 100 countries worldwide.

Inspired by the power and excitement of life-changing beauty breakthroughs such as the handheld blow-dryer, which allowed women to break ties with the beauty parlor, Mr. John Chang–who started KISS as a tiny beauty supply business–has made it his mission to find ways to make life simpler & easier for all. With his world-renowned team of scientists & product developers, the KISS founder’s passion is to invent DIY beauty products that save women a tremendous amount of time, effort and money.

Empowering women to “bring the salon home” and express their personal style, on their terms, is the KISS WAY since day one, and it has thrived beautifully over the past 30 years.

Among many notable KISS accomplishments, the first DIY glue on artificial nail was met with rave reviews, but by far, the company’s shining star is the press-on nail. Featuring patented SuperHold technology and an amazing gel finish, this innovation literally revolutionized the beauty industry, giving women the ability to complete a much sought after gel mani, in minutes, with reliably long-lasting results.

KISS is also a major player in the false eyelash business. In fact, new technology and styling methods and trend-setting designs have made KISS a market leader in lashes, with a huge customer and celebrity fan base.

Most recently KISS celebrates its Korean heritage with JOAH, a complete collection of Korean beauty cosmetics which are quickly becoming award-winning best sellers.

NYFW: Korto Momolu SS20 show for Women Grow

Yesterday designer & Project Runway Allstar, Korto Momolu, showed her SS20 collection at Pier59 Studios during New York Fashion Week and fused the worlds of cannabis and fashion for the first time ever on stage.

The show was held in partnership with Women Grow, an organization dually designed to obliterate the lingering stigma affiliated with cannabis and to intentionally cultivate female leadership within the cannabis industry.

Momolu showed 26 looks predominantly created with eco-friendly, sustainable hemp-based fabrications: hemp, linen, jute and cork. Plus 2 models carried vape pens on the runway.

Most people have a notion in their mind pertaining to cannabis – forged largely from pop culture references from Woodstock to 90s stoner movies. Women Grow aims to replace them and looks at the cannabis boom as THE solution to health, wellness, sustainability and environmental needs – this is the future of fashion.

Semir x CJ Yao SS19 – New York Fashion Week

    Wednesday September 12th

    (Spring Studios)

    during New York Fashion Week

    Semir x CJ Yao

presented their Spring Summer 2019 collection

    featuring men’s and women’s streetwear.

Heavily influenced by young Chinese style,

the collection feature bold graphic prints layered shorts and bright pops of color.

Front row guests included Chris Lavish, actress Malgosia Garny, and Filip Pogady.

MORE ABOUT SEMIR X CJ YAO

Chinese fashion brand SEMIR joins hands with Chinese independent designer brand C.J.YAO using the new generation of Chinese design language to interpret the fashion and attitude of the current young Chinese.

What is the attitude of young Chinese to fashion today? Instead of speculating and advocating for itself, SEMIR, which has always been dedicated to serving mass consumers, specially sent fashion observers to the streets to personally interview and listen to fashion voices of young people. Based on this, SEMIR found that in the Internet age, the emerging generation is keen on high technology. They are online all the time every day, they have an open international perspective and strong national sentiment; they’re eager to speak for their own culture. In their subconscious, fashion is a mixture of the East and West, with a strong definition of self-attitude at the same time.

The fashion element discovered by SEMIR this time is inspired by the spark from the collision of ideological trends of eastern and western contexts, which is presented by the mind-blowing and uniq ue Chinese and English expressions. Like the emoji package, they are the popular expressions of those young people who are keen on online socializing. These unique vocabularies are the symbols of popularity of Chinese culture in the world, and also provide an opportunity for the collaboration between SMEIR and C.J.YAO— to bring the combination of these humorous Chinese English and fashion to the world.
