A friend of mine invited me to check out a preview of Latin Fashion Week Canada over at The Spoke Club. Check out some of the pieces from the 12 designers that showcased their talents this past weekend.
“Blackbird is about beautiful, simple things. Handcrafted by local designers Regan Hayes and Vanessa Marino, who strive to create a line of jewellery that is well-made, one-of-a-kind and coveted. Their third collection was inspired by the magic and mystery of a witchy woman. She is a powerful and beautiful enchantress adorned in opulent trinkets and charms from another realm.”
Osteria dei Ganzi recently invited us to its wedding experience open house, and it was lovely! Breath taking gowns by Ferre Sposa, a delicious menu by Chef Guerrino Starpoli, gorgeous wedding cakes and treats by the Cocoa Cakery, beautiful table settings by Caprice Design & Decor…it was absolutely WONDERFUL.
Words simply can’t express just how lovely everything about this event was, so lucky for you I took lots of pictures for your viewing (swooning) pleasure!
Thank you so much for inviting us, it was a beautiful event!

We were recently invited to the Buy Art Not Kids (B.A.N.K.) Media Preview over at CBC studios. B.A.N.K. returned for its annual fundraising event in support of Ratanak International; a Canadian charity that rescues and rehabilitates child sex trafficking victims in Cambodia. The artwork set to be featured at the fundraiser on April 4th will feature the work of over 30 acclaimed Canadian artists and 14 senior students from Havergal College, where the event will be held.
My favourite piece!
“The Idea: Art can build up, or tear down; it can raise hope or trigger devastation. It communicates truth, or spreads lies. The ability for art to powerfully evoke such things has been noted throughout the centuries. But can art really change the world? Without acting on it, the change that art points us towards is lost. Art itself cannot change the world, but art can change people. And people can change the world! The B.A.N.K. (Buy Art Not Kids) Art Auction will celebrate the connection between art and its call-to-action by showcasing ‘art that inspires’.”
Rachelle and I :): B.A.N.K. was founded in 2011 by Rachelle and Stephen Kearns. As a mother of two she is highly motivated to take the compassion she feels and create tangible change.
