Event LOVE: #BombayCocktailHour with Bombay Sapphire
Bombay Sapphire recently invited us to experience a Cocktail Hour like no other! Just in time for summer entertaining, the iconic gin took the popular pastime of the Roaring Twenties and re-introduced it to the Twenty-Thirteen with a modern and refreshing twist! Bombay Sapphire Master Mixologist, Raj Nagra and acclaimed Toronto Chef, Cory Vitiello, partnered up to show us how to throw the ultimate “How-To” Cocktail Hour party. Cory demonstrated how to whip up delicious hors d’oeuvres, and Raj followed by giving us a demonstration on how to create the perfect cocktails to pair with Cory’s creations. I’m not a big gin drinker, but Raj definitely changed my mind with those cocktails he created! They were so so good. And the food? Oh my gawd, the food was soooo GOOD! We all had a great time, everybody had a bunch of questions for Raj and Cory, we were all laughing, chatting, sipping cocktails, and devouring the delicious appetizers. It was a good night!
Cory (l) and Raj (r) giving us the goods on pairing hors d’oeuvres and gin cocktailssuch a fun night with these ladies and gentleman!

Event LOVE: #HoneyMania with @TheBodyShopCA
I got a super cute invitation to join The Body Shop for a “bee-autiful” presentation, during a media breakfast at the Toronto Botanical Gardens last week. This was our chance to get the “buzz” on their new “Honeymania” collection, and other fabulous launches by The Body Shop, like the new Colour Crush make-up and Chamomile range. I’ve never been to the Toronto Botanical Gardens, so I was definitely excited for the experience, and I’m always down to hear about and/or experience anything by The Body Shop.We began the morning with a delicious Honey inspired menu of breakfast treats, while learning all about the Honey Mania collection, and other future Body Shop collections, then it was time for some fun! We were lead into another room, where we got to try out the Honey Mania collection, as well as the new Colour Crush make-up line, which I have to mention, left me pleasantly surprised at how highly pigmented the eyeshadows and lipsticks were!Yummy Honey Manicures!“We use Sheka honey organically harvested from the Ethiopian rainforest. It has a distinctive floral taste and smell because of the wildflowers the bees visit to make the honey… Beza Mar are experts in Ethiopian Honey, are dedicated to improving the livelihoods of Ethiopian beekeepers and are extremely strict about the quality of their honey. They’re the first honey producers in Ethiopia to be delivering honey to foreign buyers – and our trade brings a precious source of income….”- The Body Shoppretty ladies!sooooo good! Some ladies got their make-up doneThe Camomile Cleansing Butter is amazing…seriously.Did someone say lipstick????I waited patiently to try all the lipsticks lolpretty!Cute little movie about the Honeymania collection! The morning glory muffins were glorious! My yummy honey vanilla latte! The body butter… the body butter feels so so good!We went home with some goodies from the Camomile and Honeymania collection! What I wore 🙂Thank you to everyone at The Body Shop and the Toronto Botanical Gardens for treating us to a lovely morning!Stay bee-autiful!Bella -
Event LOVE: @VOCABComm 5th Annual Art of Music Gifting Lounge @MissVOCAB @VOCABLounge
We got to hang out the VOCAB C0-Ed Gifiting Lounge, which celebrated the 5th annual Art of Music Video Gallery Exhibition and it was so much fun. The weather was so nice, everyone was happy and laughing, the vibe was RIGHT. I loved bumping into some of my favourite people, as well as meet some new ones; it was a good afternoon. We were given an opportunity to check out an exhibit that showcased imagery from the NE Creative Group’s (who were nominated for 11 awards at this year’s MMVAs by the way) favourite video archives. Some of the featured imagery came from directors like RT!, Cazhhmere, David F Mewa, Davin Black and more. The gifting lounge also gave a number of brands a chance to get their products into the hands of Canadian and American celebrities, directors, publicists, producers, stylists, tastemakers and trendsetters during the MMVA’s.

chilling by the F*CK CANCER booth!

Love me some pop chips!

Spent quite a bit of time in the Kings of Past Vintage Eyewear room, you know I love me some glasses, especially when they’re Raybans!

Mary Kay was in the building, and I was pleased to discover that they actually have an extensive and impressive collection of men’s products.

Lipgloss and Candy. Perfect match.

We also got taste Katy Perry’s new pop chips kettle corn chips, and they are so yummy!

I have the same smile on my face when I get a packet of pop chips!

Event LOVE: #VitabathLuxury at the Park Hyatt Toronto @Vitabath
We were recently invited to the Vitabath Media Preview to enjoy an afternoon of luxury on the rooftop of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Yorkville. We got pampered with massages, manicures, sipped on cocktails and snacked on tasty hors d’oeuvres; and most importantly we were given a chance to have hands-on experience with a number of the skincare and fragrance products from the Vitabath line.
“Luxury in a Bottle For over 55 years, Vitabath® luxury skin care has remained unequaled for gentle skin cleansing and conditioning.”
This was my first experience with Vitabath, and I was pleased to find that they offer an array of bath and beauty skin care products like scented bar soaps, moisturizing lotions, shower gels and exfoliating scrubs. If you’ve ever seen my bathroom, you’ll know that I love me some bath and beauty skin care products! This event was for me baby!

These cupcakes maaaaaaaaannnnn!

I loved the holiday collection!
Then I got outside and it was raining…A big thank you to everyone at Vitabath for inviting us, and for treating us to a wonderful afternoon of luxury!

Event LOVE: One-on-One with @SimpleSkinCare and @BassGita
A few weeks ago, a small group of us gathered inside the Harbinger offices for an intimate one-on-one session with celebrity make-up artist Gita Bass. She flew all the way from NYC to give us the 4-1-1 on Simple skincare, as well as give us all the goods on how to achieve and maintain beautiful and healthy skin. Being someone that has severely sensitive skin, I’m always willing to hear how I can better take care of my skin, and I this was my opportunity to ask all my questions (i.e. Is it okay that I use scrub everyday? Is it okay that I put on a mask twice, sometimes three times a week? Do I really need to use an eye cream etc.) The answers to my questions? In her exact words, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” She said it was totally fine that I scrub everyday, and use a mask several times a week, and no I don’t need to use eye cream, however as I get older I’ll probably want to…. Hmmm I may have to think about this one.
As I said before, I have very sensitive skin, and this means that I don’t just put anything on my face; so I had a number of questions for Gita regarding the Simple skincare line. I swear by black soap and raw shea butter, as that’s as pure as it gets, but sometimes I don’t have time to re-up, so it’s good to know that there is a skincare line out there, that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin, but it’s also free of dyes, artificial perfumes, and chemicals, and is instead rich with vitamins and “skin loving” ingredients. I’ve used a few of the products that we got to take home a few times, and so far, so good!
Gita’s skin care tips?
- Find what works for YOU.
- Lead a healthy lifestyle, drink LOTS of water, eat LOTS of fresh vegetables and fruits, JUICE, EXERCISE.
- ALWAYS use sunscreen (I admit I get lazy with this one…)
- Moisturize
- Always wash your make up off before going to bed… ALWAYS.
- Healthy mind + Healthy body= Beautiful and healthy skin.
I live for this juice! So so so GOOD!Gita demonstrating cute but simple summer make-up looks.

The ladies didn’t skip a beat!

See the smiles on our faces? It was a good afternoon!

came home and drank several cups of water!Goodies! My faves so far are the smoothing facial scrub (naturally), the foaming cleanser and the protecting light moisturizer.
After we talked everything Simple Skincare, Gita gave us some makeup tips, while we sipped on a number of DELICIOUS Belmonte raw juices, and nibbled on light healthy snacks 🙂
Thank you so much for inviting us, and to Gita for sharing some valuable skin care tips with us!

Good Eats: @BellyBusterSub opening!
On Wednesday, we were invited to The Belly Buster Submarine’s brand new downtown location to try one of their signature subs. I’ve never been a fan of subs ever, but I’m always down to try something new, and thought maybe, just maybe a Belly Buster sub would change my mind about subs.

I love that the new location still has the original Belly Buster colours. It’s still old school, but has a fresh modern twist to it.

I gotta get my picture up there, cause I went HAM on my veggie sub! It was so so good!

Simple menu. No fuss, just yummy subs!

I couldn’t wait to get my belly bust!

I only saw this as I was posting the pictures lol

Thank you for inviting us, I will definitely be coming back for another sub!For all of you who have experienced a Belly Buster sub, you no longer have to go all the way to North York to satisfy your craving, cause now there’s one right downtown! For those of you who haven’t yet had one, GET YOU SOME!
