Make sure that you invest in a vigorous scrub this winter. There are some excellent choices available. Make sure you get a scrub that compliments your skin. Your skin will be suffering from a lack of hydration, so you need to rehydrate it as a matter of urgency. One of the most common winter months is that people don’t suffer from breakouts during the winter. This is untrue. Your skin can still be prone to breakouts and spots. So, investing a small amount of time in your skin care regimen is still vital in the winter months.

    3. Mattifying Sunscreen: You Still Need It! Mattifying sunscreen and foundations are necessary. Ensure that your skin is the epitome of fresh and matter with this cheap makeup essential. You don’t have to spend a fortune on a good primer or mattifying sunscreen. Just ensure that your cosmetic bag has one. Primers and mattifying sunscreens can ensure that sallow, winter skin is plumped and rejuvenated. Winter skin is prone to looking tired and pale. Primers can ensure that your skin has that much-coveted youthful glow. What’s more, you will look positively radiant. The weather may be dull, but your skin doesn’t have to be.

    4.  Change Your Moisturiser Many of us choose to have lightly, whipped moisturisers during the summer. After all, you don’t want your skin to look like an oil slick in the hot summer heat. During the winter, however, you need to make sure that you are changing your moisturiser. Opt for a thicker, more developed cream. Cold cream is perfect for the winter months. It’s thick, indulgent and oil-based. This allows your skin to hydrate overnight.

    Dry Skin Rescue @SebamedUSA

Winter dry skin is the worst!  The scaly snake skin legs occur when I am too lazy to lotion after a shower and it freaks me out!  If you need a great lotion, try Sebamed Anti-Dry Hydration Lotion to save your skin this winter.  I remember the logo of Sebamed from my childhood and you know how much I love Retro!  So here is a cool throwback beauty secret you may have forgotten. Sebamed is a German skincare company established by Heinz Maurer in 1957.

    Snow Ready

Phytosteroles, shea butter and other plant-derived lipids as well as a moisturizing complex with polysaccharides extracted from potato starch care for, smooth and soothe the skin.

The lotion is absorbed quickly and completely, leaving no trace of stickiness. The pH value of 5.5 protects the skin’s natural protective acid mantle against dehydration and irritants. In a three-week dermatological test, the care lotion improved the moisture content of dry skin by 26% even 10 hours after the last application and despite interim washing.

Shea Indulgence comes Just in Time for the Holidays!

Shea butter-enriched lotions are my weakness. They smell delicious, they keep skin hydrated and they’re a 10/10 on the “pamper me” scale. So I’m really happy to see Essence of Beauty come out with a Shea Indulgence collection just in time for the holidays!

    Shea Body Care Collection Kit

This fantastic line is available exclusively in CVS stores — but don’t let the inexpensive price tag fool you. The Shea Indulgence collection gives any expensive skincare range a run for its money. Why? Because Essence of Beauty knows their stuff. They’re passionate about the products they create, enriching all their formulas with revitalizing passionflower seed and rice bran oils, antioxidant-rich vitamins, soothing aloe, and of course, renewing shea butter.

But what they leave out of their skincare range is equally as important. Every Essence of Beauty cleanser, butter scrub and lotion is free from parabens, artificial dyes, phthalates, petrolatum, and gluten.

Take a peek at what the master perfumers have to say about Essence of Beauty:

Now onto their Shea Indulgence collection:

    5042844204

Butter Scrub ($7.99): This product is divine, removing dead skin cells and renewing your skin. I use this as soon as I step in the shower and the smell is wonderful! Think silky shea butter mixed with coconut milk and creamy vanilla.

    5042846290

Cream Shower Cleanser ($6.99): This shower cleanser is cheaper than the one I ordinarily use but is twice as great! It lathers up in an instant and pampers your skin while showering. Believe me, I’ve given my other shower cleanser the flick after using this.

    5042846216-1 5042846299

Body Butter ($7.99) and Body Lotion ($6.99): Both these products are great for after-shower pampering. Work the body butter into those dry areas such as hands, elbows, knees, and heels (great for winter!), and use the body lotion to keep skin soft and smooth.

And because the holidays are right around the corner, Essence of Beauty also has a great Shea Indulgence Body Care Collection for gift-giving (the 3-piece set above, $9.99). So good!

Other key active ingredients in Topricin include: arnica for injuries and bruising, Echinacea to help reduce inflammation, hypodermal for relief from burning sensation in the hands or feet and graphites for most skin conditions. But it’s the synergy of the natural biomedicines working together that make Topricin the ideal formula for taking care of winter skin.

Topricin brings soothing relief to uncomfortable dryness of the skin on the face, hands and feet and provides rapid healing and relief for symptoms associated with:

    -Psoriasis
    -Calluses and dry flaky heels
    -Dry, cracked skin
    -Sun and wind burn

For fast relief, simply apply Topricin to the affected area and massage in until absorbed.

Lou Paradise, president and chief of research at Topical BioMedics, makers of Topricin Pain Relief and Healing Cream says that consumer should be mindful of using products that contain chemicals that can irritate or cause allergic reactions in dry skin and suggests that changing a few hygiene habits and products used can help alleviate the pain from dry skin and offers some insightful simple tips for keeping your skin soft and supple during the coldest winter months.

-Drink lots of water. Keeping hydrated helps plump skin up and makes it healthier.

-Choose gentle, natural moisturizers. Common ingredients found in many commercial moisturizers include contain petrolatum and silicone, which are not ideal for skin, can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some people and can exacerbate dryness over time, as well as allowing your skin to absorb their irritating and potentially toxic ingredients. Look for moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera, cocoa butter and oatmeal.

-Skip harsh soaps. The soap you’re using – even if it says ‘gentle’ on the package – might be leaching your skin of its lipids. All-natural, oiled-based cleansers like castile soap are a better choice for dry skin.

-Shower in lukewarm water. Long, hot showers and baths are tempting when the temperatures drop, but hot water is hard on your skin and strips it of its natural oils.

-Don’t rub! After bathing or showering, quickly and gently pat the skin partially dry with a towel.

-Lock in the moisture. Within three minutes of getting out of the after apply a moisturizer to seal the water in the skin so it stays hydrated longer. (Topricin is an excellent moisturizer and can be applied many times a day as needed with no fear of overuse or interference with medication.)

-Exfoliate regularly. Help your body shed the dead skin cells that can build up visibly when your skin is dry. Use a loofah or body scrub made with coarse ingredients to buff your skin so it becomes soft and smooth.

-Use a humidifier. Increase the humidity level of air of your home and workplaces, if possible and consider adding a humidifier to the central heating system of your home. (If you use a portable humidifier, make sure to use it in your bedroom at night)

-Don’t forget to use sunscreen. It is just as easy to get sunburn in February as it is in July. Slater on a natural sunscreen and you’ll prevent damage and dryness.

Topricin is available in convenient 2-ounce the ($16.95) and is just the right size to store in a purse, briefcase, backpack, first aid kit, glove compartment or sports bag. The products is also available in two larger sizes: 4-ounce jar ($24.95) and 8-ounce bottle ($39.95)

Topricin is available in pharmacies, natural food stores, and other fine retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World, Fred Meyer, Wegmans, and other retail stores throughout the U.S., as well as direct from the Topical BioMedics’ online store.
