Smooth and Beautiful with Nair
The Nair Millennial Women Study polled over 1,000 women ages 18 to 34 on how they rate the importance of smooth legs, arms and bikini lines.
An overwhelming majority think it’s a total pain to keep up the maintenance of shaving our most delicate parts and most millennials would give up life’s necessities (Netflix and coffee) to be free of body hair for one year… right in time for Netflix’s biggest May releases.
But wait it gets worse. They would rather give up sex too! Top stats below and available here:
- No Netflix and Chill: Close to half (44%) of millennial women would give up Netflix for a month to be free of body hair for one year.
- No Snaps either?!: More than a quarter (38%) say they would give up social media for a month.
- Wait, What?: Almost as many (39%) would rather give up sex.
- Because it just won’t stop growing!: An overwhelming majority (72%) of women agree that hair grows back too quickly after shaving
– It’s a hairy situation. While women’s beauty routines can range from complex to natural – some things never change. As temperatures rise, most admit they have a greater awareness of hair removal in anticipation of summer fashion, but would seek an alternative to shaving, if offered. While most women have a beauty routine, they’re constantly looking for ways to make it better. Since there’s no “one size fits all” approach to beauty, the maker of Nair™ and Kelton Global polled 1,000 millennial women, to take an in depth look at the role unwanted body hair plays in their lives.
Knowing that unwanted body hair can be a complicated matter among women, the survey set out to better understand which areas are the most problematic, how women feel about them and how they impact their daily routine:
- We’re All in This Together: Regardless of ethnicity or race, one thing is universal, millennial women ALL have a specific problem area when it comes to unwanted body hair. However, Hispanics are more likely than Caucasians and African Americans to say the following are problem areas:
- Upper lip (57% versus 40% and 33%)
- Hands/knuckles (20% versus 10% and 9%)
- Back (17% versus 7% and 11%)
- The Biggest Offenders: Bikini line (72%), underarms (58%) and legs (52%)
- No Body Hair = No “Netflix and Chill”: Many millennial women would give up coffee (48%), Netflix (44%) or sex (39%) for a month to be free of unwanted body hair for one year – an additional 38 percent say they would give up social media for a month
- Time is Money: Millennial women say shaving is time consuming (56%) and irritates their skin (44%), and that the hair grows back too quickly (72%)
- Mo’ Hair, Mo’ Problems: One in two millennial women say unwanted body hair has made them feel self-conscious, less confident, or insecure; younger millennials (57%) are more likely than older millennials (48%) to feel less confident due to unwanted body hair

First impressions: The belt is definitely sturdy and well made, it is similar to neoprene waist training belts but it also has an inner lined pocket. The gel packs are light blue and transparent. Very cool. Cold contouring is something available at medical spas and very expensive. The myCoolslim package is a great at home alternative for a fraction of the price. The whole idea of Freeze Fat Away is interesting to me. I guess when your body gets cold, it takes energy and burns calorie to warm you back up?
Trying it out the first time. It was very easy to use. I just left the ice packs in the freezer overnight and then inserted them into the belt’s inner lining and then wore it around my waist. You are not suppose to wear it over 30 mins. I only lasted 3 mins and then took it off. It is very cold! I am a creature of comfort. I like comfort food, I don’t wear high heels for too long and I don’t like to be too hot or too cold. That’s probably why I have the extra fat in the first place! Ha!
You are not suppose to do anything when you wear this belt. You cannot exercise or shower or anything. So basically you should just stay still. You can wear it around your legs, your arms, your torso. My skin did get ‘red’ from the cold after 10 mins. This is me laying flat with the belt on my bed. It is interesting to see how fat cells react to cold. The brown fat cells and the white fat cells react to extreme cold temperatures, thus resulting in the slimming you see. After my first 30 mins, all I had was a very cold belly. I will try it a few more times to see what happens!
myCoolslim works best with a low calorie diet and exercise. Wearing this belt alone should show results in a few weeks so I will keep you posted on what happens when I use it again! Like all health and beauty items, this product will work best in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. I would definitely recommend this belt to someone who is trying to achieve that ‘revenge body’ for the summer!

Dryel 101: Housekeeping for the Modern Day Wifey
I recently celebrated my 4-year wedding anniversary and I learned so much in this time. There are no ‘guides’ on how to be a wife these days but there are certainly tips I’ll be happy to share with you, along with our friends from Dryel. So before I was married, I only did laundry for myself and my dog Jacob. It was so easy to just throw everything in together to wash, then everything into the dryer to dry. Once I got married, I learned about laundry from my husband. With his background in fashion, great taste in clothes and a conscious budget, he taught be how to stop ‘ruining’ his stuff.
For example, here are some laundry rules I never knew before:
- Wash towels on their own to prevent fuzzies on your clothes
- Wash whites separately in warm
- Wash darks separately in cold
- Red clothes will almost always bleed in color and make white/light items pink!
- Zip everything up before you wash it, and tie any drawstrings
- Some clothes are dry clean only
- Some clothes are hang dry only
